I’d say targeting on that one. He led with the helmet on a QB who was already sliding. Made helmet to helmet contact.

Probably targeting per the rule. But I don't like that player being ejected fro that. Quick play that wasn't trying to take his head off. Should be 15 yards without getting kicked out.
Yep, the targeting consequences are ridiculous.

If that’s not targeting than I have no idea what targeting is. That was his helmet into Purdy’s helmet. But who knows anymore

And the crown of the helmet at that. It's the literal definition of every part of the rule. That kid is done for the season.

I do like the call. It's a sliding QB. No reason to even touch him.

He started his launch when Purdy started his slide. Might have been able to pull up some, but I don't know how he avoids him completely. Again, yes it was a late hit, but I don't see how that justifies getting tossed.
