Wherever I go, there I am.
Give it up…you obviously don’t understand athletics. I’ll give you an example that might actually make sense to you your limited understanding. Jake Sullivan used to be a masterful three-point shooter. How did he do it? He said that after every practice he put up over 100 three-point shots on his own. Do you think that had a little impact on his success? It’s about extra effort and wanting to be successful at various aspects of the game.

Love TJ and the program. But there continues to be low offensive output or huge scoring droughts pretty consistently. We have a lot of games where we have 4 minute plus scoring droughts. Tonight we had one one FG in an 8 minute stretch. I wish as a program, we can figure out a way to stay out of these scoring lulls. TJ's teams play hard, no doubt about that, but they need to play with higher BB IQ. Tonight, their BB IQ in the last 4 minutes was some of the worst I have ever seen. That game was there for the taking, we lost it between the ears.
The offense bogs down at times. We had a lot of possessions tonight with really poor spacing and guys just standing around waiting for someone else to do something.

Our guys seemed to get tight down the stretch in this one. We had a golden opportunity.

Bottom line is this won't really affect our NET much at all. Our young/new guys have to learn from this one and hopefully finish it off next time we're in a close one on the road.

imagine if the other players had made their free-throws or if they had not thrown the ball away coming down the floor. gilbert with what 19 seconds to go or somebody makes a 3 early on. but this gives all you BRE haters something to be happy about.
Not a BRE hater. Just understand that we’re in the third year of a rebuild and BRE is still sadly our second best big man.

I don’t know what other word to describe a coaching philosophy that leads to so many amazing things yet is perfectly OK with leaving shooters open and not adapting. “Welp, some nights some teams will just make those shots!”

In a game where SO many things are out of a coach’s true control, that one is beyond crazy to me. We lost because of coaching. Do we win sometimes - maybe even a lot of times - because of reaching good coaching and strategy!? Yep! Which makes it even more frustrating that this one specific symptom is so impossible to cure.
If this was a consistent theme you might have a point, but this is rare

You might want to check his 3 shooting % as his career went on.

Duh!
New arena creates a great atmosphere, but given their success under Drew, how are they not able to sell out a larger arena? especially how close they are to DFW. Not to mention, they have students behind our bench in premium seats. Wild.

The lack of preparedness down the stretch is the only thing that bothers me. We were ahead by 7 with about 6 minutes to go and then ran no offense. The last 5 minutes was really really poor.

We need to get better at the line, and we need to do something other than that weak weave and ball screen down the stretch. We just have to be better offensively in those situations if they want to really make a run in March.

I was more concerned with the lack of preparedness in the first half. We had no offense to run against the zone.

I think tonight we would have really done better with Milan at the 4. Maybe that’s something to work on if we see Baylor in KC. But if not, move on and forget this zone BS.

Credit to them for downsizing though and that will be the future trend in college basketball. Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, and TCU should take a page out of their book.

They seemed tight all night. Just not many real rhythmic looking shots.

Lol I think our staff and players know that getting better at FTs is going to be hugely helpful. It's pretty obviously a weakness. But something you can only improve so much. I guarantee they work on it

We just don't defend the 3 point line well. It is what it is. Not going to change.

We don’t have to be horrendous at defending the 3…. TJ just chooses to be.

Why we double all the time is beyond me? If a team beats it, it’s a wide open 3 every time for the opposition. Almost every single Baylor 3 tonight was absolutely unguarded and wide open.
