I wasn't there, so does anybody know about how many ISU fans were there? Estimates leading up to the game were anywhere from 11,000-20,000.

I am thinking this is about right....Flag Guy was able to sneak across and snap a pic of our 1/2 of the stadium and the lower deck was full,the upper deck was 1/2 to 3/4 full....while their side had a ton of Cyclones as well:notworthy::notworthy:

The Iowa State contingent was tremendous. I would estimate 20-22,000 total. It was obvious many thousands of them (like me) bought them from the Insight/Fiesta people directly.

I would say a strong 15,000 ISU fans were there. I would also be shocked if there was actually more than 35000 people actually in the stadium. Quite a few impartial locals were there.
30k is a bit much i would say. There were many tickets that were giving to locals who really didnt care which team won. It was a great showing no doubt but i think 30k is a stretch

I'd say this is close. Maybe a little higher (18-20k or so). No way the actual attendance was close to the announced 45k. Most of the Gopher side looked like locals (no apparent color) and was somewhat sparsely filled, both upper and lower. There were close to two full sections that looked like Gopher fans, plus a full section of band. On our side, we were packed full from corner to corner in the lower deck, and the upper deck looked like the Gopher lower deck.

Maybe that 45,000 was including the tickets that Minnesota had to eat from their 10,500 allotment.
Well, I counted once each quarter. I made sure not to count the same people twice and make note of the people who I hadn't counted yet. It sound confusing, but really wasn't that hard.
