Was it cyclonesince78 that said he didn't even think abdel should be playing? For some reason I can't find the post anymore, me thinks someone realized how stupid they are and edited/deleted their post. Enjoy the championship knowing abdel was a big part in it moron.

It was Cyclonessince78. Can confirm.

We won at least 2 or 3 games this year soley on Nader's nads. Those FTs in that situation today were epic. I think some need to learn what it is like to have a team that has 8 players that can bring it any night meaning not everyone one will have an opportunity to bring it every night.

Absolutely the point- on his nads, not his 3P shooting. Nader driving is much better than Nader shooting sub 25% on 3Ps. Drive, get to the line, create for others...do what you do well.

Only one person said he should not be playing. Everything else aside, we need his defense, rebounding, and ball-handling.

This is correct.

For one, it keeps the defense honest and gives him more space for drives to the basket, IMO.

Disagree, a large part of the reason he's been so open for his 3's is that teams don't guard him that closely out there. Don't get me wrong, key cog in this team, just the 3's can get aggravating.

If I found myself shooting 22% from 3, but 80% from the charity stripe, I would get my *** to the hoop.

If only Fred would read this, it is pretty obvious that he needs to crack down on these guys and stop giving them the ability to make plays. After seeing it year after year, it is pretty obvious that it just isn't working. :jimlad:

On a totally different note, tonight I heard Eric Heft refer to Nader as "Dually".

I laughed -- almost as hard as the first time I heard Fred in a post-game interview refer to Eric as "Hefty".

Nice. How are you finding the 95% confidence interval with the percentages?

p +/- z*sqrt((1/n)*p*(1-p))

p = calculated percentage (made/taken)
z = 1.96 for a 95% confidence interval (z-score of a standard normal distribution)
n = number of shots taken

This is the Normal Approximation method; there are other methods that provide more accurate numbers, but this is the easiest to remember and implement. I do stats and probability work everyday for my job (reliability engineer) so I have a lot of this fresh in my mind.

Outside of one, nobody said he shouldn't play. He's one of the best we have at getting to the hoop and is a solid defender and rebounder. I'm glad he hit that three, but I still stand by my statement that I want him driving to the hoop and not shooting threes. That one drive from the 3 point line where he dunked and made the Kansas defender look silly was an absolute thing of beauty. I want to see him doing that 80 percent of the time instead of shooting threes 40 percent!
