I would never have accused any of the ISU fanbase of thinking that he is a bad person.... I am just saying dumb*** hawk fans that come up and say he is a thug or whatever else they call him....

Even though i know they are just doing that cause we are arch rivals

Good story....unfortunately due to all the fb players wearing helmets, i would not know who he is if i saw him.

Just get the hell outta the way if he's the one hitting you as they get off the bus :wideeyed:

Leonard Johnson is my favorite Cyclone defender, I know he's a good guy and even when all those late hits were happening I think that's part of what I loved about watching him. No I don't want to have to root for thug players but its obvious that he just goes all out and plays with a lot of emotion. Those things are a non-issue, he can be the hardest hitting CB in college FB next year!

That flag on the Moeaki hit is STILL a crock. Changed the whole ballgame.

I think it's definitely safe to say LJ will be a quick study on Paul Rhoads' "hit you coming off the bus" mentality!

Watching it again gets me even more ticked off. He clearly led with his shoulder and not his helmet. The ball appears to come loose before Moweaki hits the ground. Everything changed after that play. That being said, if you can't score a touchdown after being in the red zone all day long you probably can't expect to win a rivalry game on the road.

Ditto...just watching that pizzes me off something awful! Led with the shoulder and was in no way using his helmet as a weapon on that hit. Just a poor, poor call by the official.

Can't change it now though...we'll get even in Ames this fall.

I was in the 4th row behind the ISU bench for the ISU-Iowa game and that hit happened right infront of me and I thought it was clean all the way. After that play they made LJ sit the rest of the game while he was getting checked on to see if he had a concussion and he was furious about not being able to play. It's really nice to see someone with that kind of fire playing for us.

He's the sole reason I kept going into the Jack last season and the reason I keep him as my avatar.

As a 36 year old man, very few young athletes impress me, but he does. IMHO, he was the best true freshman to ever suit up for Iowa State. Here's a kid who passed over Michigan for ISU...gotta love that!!!

Is there video of him making that int against KU last year? That was awesome!!

Yep. It isn't our fault Moeaki is one of the softest players ever in Div. 1 football.

If I remember correctly, LJ is pretty smart and did very well in high school. I hope his academic success carried on at ISU.
