Before we give Kane too much credit, keep in mind that he missed a wide open Naz Long in the corner and forgot to cover the out of bounds pass after his final layup.

I know. Reprimand to self.

1.6 seconds. You have the ball. Why inbounds the ball there? You need the time out right away. And then the kid with less than 2 seconds thinks he can dribble 3 times to midcourt AND call the timeout then? Dumb.
Roy crew made a mistake.

You should.

I was joking. It shows how far you have to go to criticize Kane tonight. He made plays beating almost every UNC player multiple times. That was one of the best individual performances I've ever seen, including that incredible pass to Ejim.

Funny, I was just reading the UNC forums... they all felt like they were getting hosed by the refs... Easy to smile now... but that's exactly how I felt! I don't see why they are so upset about the end of the game. They made the mistake of trying to dribble the ball to the half court with only 1.6 seconds left...

The game wasn't perfect. Clearly, they pressed at times.

But we won, they'll learn from that, and that's all that matters.

Listen to this to hear Marcus Paige explain the end of the game from his perspective. He thought he got across half-court in time to call time out. He said they already had a play called and was doing what he should, but that isn't what Coach Roy said. Now it seems like he threw his players under the bus in his interview.

I don't think the refs have "favored" one team or the other, but it seems like in both games so far in the second halves they've really swallowed the whistles and its felt literally like a boxing match. Hogue literally got thrown down once or twice with no calls.

I enjoyed when Steve Kerr was basically writing our obituary with about 4 minutes left.

I just can't take another game of him, will put on the radio if he has our next game. Not sure why he was so in love with NCCU and he was awful today too.

Check this gem out. Fits in well right next to the "Hoiball" video we love so much.

Forgot to cover? It annoys me when he does his "walk off" strut. I love his game but it isn't about you. It is about your team. He did that against Baylor too.

so glad they didn't call the obvious travel. i've watched the play about 25 times and he clearly took an extra step.

but for once we do the kicking!

You talking about Kane's shot? Because I'm pretty sure he didn't take an extra step. You could make the argument that he possibly carried it during the drive but he didn't take an extra step.

This team has been so damm fun to watch! When the Cyclones were down 8 with 2 or 3 min left and Paige pulled up for 3 I thought the season was over, ballgame, done. But Paige goes clank clank and we come down and hit a 3 then get a stop and Ejim gets the And 1 to bring us back in it. Helluva game, great team, and an amazing coach! #cyclONEnation

if you look closely at the post game video on cyclones.com or ISU Athletics on facebook you'll see ISU walk in to the tunnel and Creighton was on the other side. The look they had they know they are going to get destroyed. But first, UCONN must be destroyed (again).

huh? Memphis wasn't at the San Antonio site. Baylor/Creighton was the San Antonio game after ISU.

I think you meant Creighton facing certain doom against Baylor. Memphis was playing in Raleigh against Virginia that evening.
