I was watching the game here in western Washington, and just after UNC hit that second free throw our TV went black. I literally screamed like a little girl and frantically went back to TNT hoping the game would still be there - it wasn't. I went back to CBS and the local news had cut in with a press conference about the mudslide in Arlington. By the time they went to split-screen (no game audio), the refs were at the monitor. It took a while for me to put together what I had missed - I'm SHOCKED they didn't give it to Roy and the blue bloods. What a win Cyclones!

And I do hope they are able to find more survivors in the mud.

Lucky it was on CBS primetime (60 Minutes is most watched show) and not tru TV so the refs had to call it straight.

Did you see the one ref wipe his face in desperation? My read was he knew what the right call was, but was dreading the Roy-tears that would ensue.

As much as I dislike Roy, he was classy when informed of no time left. BASed on his body language during the review, he knew it was zeroes. Simply shakes Fred's hand and gives him a hug.
