How does this get on Youtube already?

One of our own, and I use that term very loosely, is making us all proud over on the Oregon Rivals board. Go for Gin also posts here as Bobcats. He's been banned on the Rivals Iowa State site for this a-holish behavior and I wish there was some way they could take the CycloneReport off his signature.

Every time something happens in the sports world that is controversial, there is Go for Gin/Bobcats on another team's site, rubbing salt in a wound and making a fool of himself and all of us at the same time.

I'm thinking he stays on the team after the punch. Not anymore now that he assaulted fans/cops.

PS the Boise player deserved that. (Not condoning.)

I was watching the game. A few observations:

1) ESPN talked repeatedly during the game about Blount running his mouth leading up to the game by saying that, and I'll paraphrase, Boise State needed their arses kicked because of last year. They also talked about how that would be used by the BSU coaches and players as motivation.

2) The BSU player that sought Blount out after the game shouldn't have done it and just let their work on the field do the talking. Having said that, his words for Blount did not make him "deserving" of being sucker punched in the face. If running your mouth should be met with a punch in the face then I guess the BSU players should have punched Blount before the game.

3) Blount's punch was clearly a cowardly sucker punch...the BSU guy had turned his head and didn't even see it coming. Add in that he let the fans trash talking near the tunnel get to him to the point that he was nearly uncontrollable by several people and I think it points to this guy having some serious issues.

4) The ESPN announcers noted that he had previously been suspended (I think they said this past spring) by the Oregon coach for some reason that I did not hear. Apparently this is not his first rodeo with unacceptable behavior.

If this is his second "issue", I would call him in and let him know that he will be suspended for the next game, that he will be enrolled in some sort of anger management program, and that he is now on a zero tolerance program since he is down to his last strike.

Longhorns - That's the first thing I thought - usually punches hardly do anything in sports but he connected well.

But yeah, he's done.

Done. I'd have kicked him off the team last night in the locker room. In the words of Mike Singletary, "Can't win with em! Don't need em!"

I assume he's still walking home. I did find it funny that the Boise kid's grin got knocked off his face. He didn't deserve it at all but I still found it funny. Sue me. Kids talk trash because they know they can't get hit. Maybe he'll keep his mouth shut next time.

I think this will be out of Kelly's hands...

That's why I think he should kick Blount off the team....before someone else makes the decision for him. It's the right thing to do and it will be a good PR move for Kelly if he makes that decision.

yeah - he should be gone.

No need for the cops to get involved there towards the end IMO. That's an "on field" deal and the team/coaches were handling him. The one cop shoving the Oregon players away was not necessary.

At full speed, that punch didn't look too serious...seen from another angle later in the clip, white boy got dropped. Obviously nobody has any idea what was said.

I agree that he should be done for the season. I'll believe it when I see it, though.

As for the cop involvement, at first I thought it was excessive, but then when I realized Blount had gone after the fans in the crowd, I felt it was justified.

Why did the cops not handcuff him right there on the field. It was clearly a physical assault caught on tape.

They should have tasered his *** after he would not calm down!!

I didn't know that.

He still seemed to be pushing away the Oregon players. Perhaps they were heading into the crowd as well?
