This is only interesting to people that have no idea what cancer really means. We will likely go another thousand years and have no "cure" for cancer. They focus on treatment, which is alot more realistic.
I'd say his fall from grace is complete from a competitive standpoint. He has done a lot of work for Cancer and that is a good thing.
But he did test positive. He Just had the $ and a complicit UCI to make them go away. And can we agree to just drop the nonsense about most tested athlete. LA and his brand managers have shoved this myth down our throats about 500+ tests. If you read "Reasoned Decision" you would know that number to be inflated by nearly 100%. The brand managers must be counting all of the evaded tests too.

Lance doped big ******* deal. Of course he doped they all doped. He was still the best. He was the best trained. He firgured out the best equipment. Hell he probably doped better than the rest. Lance worked hard and it showed. BTW I am not a really a fan of LA but he did a lot for the sport and for that I'm grateful.

The walls are finally crumbling down for pretty boy Lance. He disgusts me. He is a liar, cheater, bully, and a sociopath. People say, oh, but he has done such good things for cancer research. Yes, he has, but no way would I want my kids looking up to Lance. There are plenty of people in this world who do good things that are honest, good people. If you have an extra 45 minutes, this video will open your eyes to the person Lance really is.

You my friend are dead on. Lance did everything the best. Greenville on line puts it like this, "Armstrong’s team “ran the most sophisticated, professionalized and successful doping program that sport has ever seen.†That should be no surprise to anyone. Lance did the work, identified the best team mates, the best equipment, the best training regime and single focus on one event.
Was there anyone near the top in cycling that didn't dope during this time? It couldn’t have been many. According to Hincapie, In 1995 there appeared to be a major change in the sport and it was “becoming very difficult to keep up†when performance-enhancing drugs were being used on a widespread basis. So it wasn't a matter of winning or losing it was a matter of being there or not being there. Most of the people in the sport were playing two games first beat the test agency then beat the rider beside you.
Yeah, I'm really surprised by all the hatred coming Lance's way because of this. I've always thought he was an ******* but did people really think he wasn't doping? I assumed almost everyone had accepted this as a fact.

Boy, a lot of hearsay, a lot of amnesty deals for doping bikers and no actual testing results in all of this. Looks like a massive witchhunt to me. Most of those riders would have been permantly banned, but are biking again because of sweatheart deals. So let 20 known dopers and liars off the hook to get one? I'm not buying yet.
I still had just a little shred of doubt until I read Hincapie's statement about his doping. That absolutely sealed the deal for me.
Maybe they should just legalize doping and level the playing field!

I always thought he was probably pretty difficult to live with. A good portion of elite athletes are driven in their sport and that often affects the rest of their lives, including their relationships. Having two celebrities in the relationship seems doubly doomed. Look at how many celebrity relationships and marriages end quickly.
Poor guy, cheated and made millions of dollars. Where he has fallen to is higher than most of us will ever be.
