How many schools averaged 12,000 fans for men's basketball after 3 years of bad ball?

How many schools averaged over 40,000 fans for a 2-10 football team?

We either have good fans or stupid fans. You choose.

Show me the stats on all schools fitting your descriptions that has averaged the same enrollment as ISU or better and then I'll give you an answer. I personally think that other schools of our size would also do this.

Let's see. Harrison Barnes father played for Iowa State. His mother works for Iowa State. He's grown up in Ames, Iowa. His school's most famous graduate was a star at Iowa State. Greg Mcdermott's son plays on the same team Barnes does.
And the kid's not coming to school at Iowa State.
Great job of recruiting Mr. Greg Mcdermott.

Colorado Buffaloes averaged 4-5K fans to their basketball games. I had a hard time finding actual numbers, but I found an article that referenced 4,255 fans near the beginning of the B12 season.

According to WIKI, KU football's average attendance was 41K the past 3 years. I think anyone could agree that their football program is ahead of ours.

I didn't **** around with more than that. I think you'll have a hard time finding teams with similar attendance that lose as regularly as we do. But, maybe that's just my perception.

McD could be the best recruiter on the planet and he still wouldn't be able to sell ISU as a top-tier program. If that's what Barnes is looking for, then we're not for him. Of course I don't know what's driving Barnes decision, but he's said himself he wants to win a national championship. Assuming that's the case, McD has his work cut out for him.

I do agree that McD has a lot going for him (all of the things you mentioned) and no other school at Iowa State's level is even in the conversation. However, it all comes down to Barnes' priorities.

I wish we could just sign Ejim and or Kelm before Ronnie Harris jr has a chance to turn us down. Hell, have Doug McD accept a schollie. Dont let the door hit ya!

I hope he'll like playin in front of these guys at Cameron Indoor.

I did not see the KCCI interview but on Sound Off he looks like kid that is being coached on what to say and not to say (not necessarily a bad idea) and keeping all his options open. He does not look all that comfortable in front on the camera during the interview part, carefully choosing his words, that makes a lot of people think he is avoiding ISU.
My theory is he wants to be an McD All American and is leading Duke and NC on because that will increase his chances and once he get that status he will commit to ISU.

My gut tells me Harrison is out of here and on the plane to the east coast. So I think the coaching staff should not put to much stock into him right now and go get the next best thing, no offense, but he just may be wasting our time. Wherever he goes I will support him, good luck kid wish you could have come here where it has been golden for you and where we have supported you BEFORE college. Plus, I just really do not care anymore it is like beating a dead horse. If he comes here great if not I will not be surprised in the least bit.
