Yeah, overdue. I think teams honoring Native Americans through names or logos is fine (but it's really not my place to say) if done respectfully (and with the support of that community in general).

I think this would have had a much better reception had some groups not taken as extreme stances on other issues. I think the insistence that Native American mascots/names couldn’t be used at all by a small group has made changes and working together difficult.Yeah, overdue. Peter-I'm not bent out of shape, nor does it impact me. I want to get to a point where we can enjoy sports without political issues. That's allIts amazing how bent out of shape some people get over racist mascots, as if retiring Chief Wahoo is going to personally affect their lives.
