FAWcast: A different take on Iowa State/Texas Tech

Done listening to the FAWcast. Can't stand Charter anymore. He's the ultimate troll who paid his way to have his annoying voice heard and bash Cyclone football. Plus, he should quit saying he's the "voice of the fan" because he certainly doesn't speak for every fan.

If negative fans are those who want a coaching change, I'd say we're more than 40%. But even if we're 40%, I hope we're proportionately represented on radio and other Iowa State media. I love FAWcast. At least when they talk about ISU sports. It is the only podcast I consistently listen to on CF.

(When FAWcast talks about topics other than ISU sports, however, things get cringe worthy awkward and uncomfortable sometimes)

I'm just the opposite. To me, Cyclone Fanatic is a place to get incite on ISU athletics. Listening to the FAWcast (and even reading the forums lately) reminds me of the negative, uncomfortable conversations with my in-laws where money and strong political opinions are brought up way too often.

I just think it's hilarious how those who are negative on the football team always say they are "just being realistic". They can say the team will never win another game, and the only thing they have to back it up is that they are "keeping it real". Anybody who is optimistic on the team is just sunshine pumpers.

What I see is a team that is much improved from the past two years. I see several freshman making a large impact already. I see several JUCOs filling important roles, which I feel is what this team needs more of going forward. I also have seen games from other Big XII teams where I have seen weaknesses. At this point I don' t think the Big XII, as a whole, is as strong as previous years. Does this mean ISU will win 0, 1, 2, 3, 4+ more games? I have no idea, but I look forward to finding out. I also think I'm being realistic.

Like it or not, I am consistent. I say what I think. AdamJGray is not good. He just isn't. AdamJGray is not a good podcaster. AdamJGray will win a max of three podcasts this year . . . probably only 2.
Does that sound negative? Maybe. But it is also what I believe will happen this year. There is no valid proof to suggest otherwise.

As far as building up this Charter guy, he is 5-0. Enough said.

I am not going to be "Yay AdamJGray" at all times when he stinks. Apparently that is what you want. Not happening.

Lifelong fan. Born and raised on CycloneFanatic.com, but I don't accept sucking.
Was high on the articles last year. read all three articles on the Big 12 tourney.
Contributed to CycloneFanatic.com as well so my loyalties are clear.
But, I am not the fan that will ever just accept mediocrity. There are already plenty of Kool-aid drinkers on here that think we can beat HawkeyeNation and GoEmaw podcasts.
You can be a fan and also be realistic. AdamJGray is improved this year for sure, but he is still not good.
Not a fan of AdamJGray for MANY reasons. He needs to go. Not the right podcaster to get us to respectability.

How do you fill a hour long podcast if YOU dont like when they go off topic.. Now on top of that they cannot have a take on the season during the season. All they can say good or bad is, "Lets let the season play out."

You are captain negative..... Get over your downer mode, it is not helping anything and ruins this FAWcast.... It makes these annoying to listen to, call it kool-aid drinking but, I would rather listen to CW and AG analyze then you being ultra-negative..... Your perspective is getting old....

There's no possible way to speak for every fan. Charter has his opinions and he almost always gives a decent line of reasoning behind it. Like he said in this FAWcast, Iowa State has given him no reason to believe they'll exceed 4 wins this year. Look at recent history and 4 wins seems about on par, maybe even a tad optimistic.

What??? I am more reference the negative view with no backing information.... Other than 'we suck', having an opinion is one thing but blasting a team with no statistics to back it is just foolish and lazy. Do I think we have a tough 3 game stretch ahead, hell yes, could be get blown out in those games possibly but I also believe our defense is so much improved from that last 2 years that we might just hang around. Our best chance of the 3 is Tech, I know historically we have not played well there but what have we shown on the field this year to tell you that we will get blown out and go 0-8??? Just stating based on how Mark comments......

1 dont listen to the podcast.
2 pay fanatic enough money to get your own podcast and pump all the sunshine you want into that podcast.

I don't see what Charter said that was any worse than most of the people on here. He is entitled to his own opinion. That's a fact.

I've had my points where I am like Charter. Though this week I do think ISU has a decent shot.
