In the many clips I have seen on Twitter it seems like there are sooo many unrealistic broken tackles, defenders standing still in the open field, or just plain running the wrong direction. Is this a reoccurring thing or just what happens to be posted?

My goal is 18-21 recruits every year, high school and portal.

One thing I hate about the recruiting right now is, if you want make/keep progress you have to Send the House for weeks. Even with Send the House you still have other schools jumping you. And Send the House takes a large chunk of your hours. So you can’t spend enough time on other recruits and if you’re not on Send the House you won’t get their commitment. I have to prioritize Send the House on 14 guys. Won’t get them all. Maybe half??
Soft and Hard sell are your friends if you want to save points but get big impact. You have to wait until they're in their top 5, but if you time it right, you can switch guys from Send The House to Soft/Hard Sell at the same time you schedule them for a visit. There's definitely a balancing act, which is pretty cool in my opinion. Big schools can swoop in and steal guys from under you, which is pretty realistic.

Soft sell doesn’t get as much impact on the recruit as Send the House or Hard Sell. And I can’t decrease my weekly hours committed to the recruit because they’ll change to the blue blood school I’ve been fending off.

I think these games are the kind that are made for not playing in long stretches. Play a game here or there to stretch out the season, or bust it out when friends come over for beers. It may even be best that way.

Clearly you have no idea how I used to play NCAA 14! :p

But a soft sell with DM player is only 30 pts and a potential for ‘6 influence’ where as send the house maxes at 5 influence … could even pair a ‘friends and family for 25 plus a soft pitch for 45 pts and potential increase of 8 influence … as janny said, its a balancing act

I honestly don't have a ton of gripes about the game so far, but I do think it was funny how much EA touted that there will be a massive difference between 1 star and 5 star teams, yet consistently see people losing to FCS teams and blue blood teams going 7-5 in dynasties.

It’s in there, but the only one I see much of is some weird pursuit angles. Not enough to ruin the game though, and it happens for and against you.

My strategy has been to ID the best guys I think I have a shot at and then send max influence to the top 10 guys. Then for the second wave after some hours free up again, search for the best players with 0 offers. Once that dries up I’m just looking for depth at whatever spot is thin.

Working pretty well so far in my first two seasons. I wish I had some more detailed feedback than just the interest bar.

Ok this is a really dumb question but does the B/Circle button no longer switch to the closest defender to the ball? Because I've played probably 6 games now and it almost never switches to the defender that's closest. Aggravating as hell and makes defense soo much more difficult to play. Talked to a buddy last night and he felt the same way.

I think it still does, but id also recommend checking your setting for defensive assist mechanisms … should also be noted that EA are trying to promote the ‘switch stick’ which is activated by flicking the right joystick

I've been trying to use the switch stick, but if I'm on the left side of the field and need to get to the right it takes multiple flips. In the old games when the ball was in the air the B button would switch to the defender that is being thrown towards and that almost never happens now. It just seemingly picks a random player somewhere and I have to hit it 2 or 3 times to get to the correct person. Usually the receiver is long gone by that point

I've been trying to play as one defensive player per play for this reason but the ai tackling is so bad a lot of the time it isn't feasible.

I agree with everything you are saying and still use ‘B/circle’ myself … as i said check your defensive assist settings. Think i had to change a few of mine after experiencing similar problems

Reading through comments on Reddit and I just have to ask. Do others hate the game as much as they do. It has some serious flaws but is still great as far as I’m concerned.
I generally agree with most of their complaints, but not as passionately as their most outspoken commenters are.

The gameplay itself is fun, even if it does need a bit of refining. But RTG feels lifeless. It was fun for a season and a half, but once you've become WR1 and maxed out the coach trust scale it feels like there's nothing left to do. Not to mention the off-the-field stuff feels so sterile and bland.

I haven't tried dynasty yet, I'm going to wait until the sim for it gets patched before I get invested. And I'll never touch UT.

I was on the fence about getting it, and after a week of trying it out I wish I would have waited. As it stands, I just don't think I'll get $70 worth of fun out of this and I have extremely little hope that EA will make any significant quality of life improvements before CFB26.

I’m the opposite. I’ve only played Dynasty and haven’t really noticed sim engine issues. When it comes to value I’m pretty sure I’ve already gotten enough out of it.
