Started a dynasty as an OC last night. Think it’s dumb they make you still (attempt) to play both offense and defense.

I know you can super sim it so you only do offense or pick that option in the uniform screen but it’s still annoying cause I forget.

More issues

1) sometimes after a play, it will not let me use any other plays in the formation until I run a different play

2) Sometimes if I press “x” to skip the halftime show or a replay, it’ll automatically give me whatever the “x” play was that would’ve been on the screen had their been no cut scene

Are you talking about coach suggestions on #1?

The suggestions are fine 90% of the time but there is enough weirdness I think I'm going to set up some favorites and mostly run plays out of there.

Another thing I've noticed is the time of day doesn't appear to change throughout the game.

Played a game that kicked off at 6pm. In the fourth quarter, it still looked like it was 6pm.
I thought this wasn’t supposed to happen in CFB25.

Every single game I’ve played is in the day. How do I play a night game?

Started my first dynasty as OC at Sam Houston State on varsity difficulty. Think I went 9-3 in regular season, won the CUSA championship and Bahamas Bowl. Started the off-season with a HC job offer at Marshall, then a HC job offer at Memphis the following week. Rejected both cause I wanted to finish what I started at SHSU of course.

My recruiting class consisted of 11 three stars and nothing else. My strategy was to go after any 4-5 stars with any interest (not many), then 3 stars with interest and/or a position need. I didn't bother scouting as I figured any 3 stars would be as good or better than my current players. I typically spread out my recruiting points on all my prospects, scheduling visits ASAP. How do you guys send the house at guys without your other prospects dropping interest? I only had 400 points/week.

Has anyone done a team builder team? I made the fictional university from HP Lovecraft novels called Miskatonic University Kraken. Then spend like an hour redoing all 10 conferences into more regional conferences.

It sucks that you have to replace an existing team and then you take over all of their Team grades. Also Team Builder only changes the field designs, so all of the stuff on stadiums stay the same. So if you make one, you gotta pick a stadium with limited team logos on it.

The uniform designer is pretty damn fun though, this is what I made of the Kraken.

Once im in the top 5, i try the soft and hard sells, to try and free up pts for other guys while also still having an impact to those guys. I then watch how the sell worked and adjust the following week.

I’m still on my first season so I have no idea how effective it will be. But I did quite a bit of scouting to find gems and busts. And I scheduled most of my visits on a weekend that had the first conference game, Baylor, instead of the Arkansas State game.

My coach is recruiting perk focused. So I think I have 600 points. Not sure if I have more because of that or because you are an OC.

Do you get alot of commits that way? I had a couple guys visit. I’m their clear favorite and they have no other visits scheduled. They haven’t committed yet. I’ve been wondering if I need to follow up with a soft sell.

I wouldnt say ‘a lot’ of commits going into off season, but it sure feels like when I pair a pitch with a DM player, it helps more versus using ‘send the house’ … in looking at the ‘potential gain’ a soft pitch can net up to 4 influence and hard sell can get 6. Hard sell is 5, so pairing a pitch with the DM can potentially net a positive more than a straight ‘send the house’ … again this is just my personal experience and opinion but it never hurts to test it out, if youre feeling stuck with a recruit

You can change super sim options in game.

Yup. I Send the House until I have most of the recruits interests exposed. Try to push into their top three/five so I can set a visit. Then Hard Sell and DM them once I have a visit set and know their interests and what to sell them on.

It kills my hours though. I’m only recruiting like 14 guys with my 700 hours. I definitely lost out on other guys I didn’t focus any hour attention on.

Try doing it on 500 hrs, as a 1.5 star team

My first year at Iowa State I recruited 35 guys - that was a mistake. I ended up having to cut like 20 guys. I think ~15 guys before the transfer portal is the right number.

Reading through comments on Reddit and I just have to ask. Do others hate the game as much as they do. It has some serious flaws but is still great as far as I’m concerned.
