Was it this one?

Nope - it's even better. It's a picture of him sitting on the bench, both hands covering his face.

Until I read the caption - didn't even know who it was.

I always have trouble agreeing with any hawk fan, but I'd have to agree with Southern here. His perspective is reasonable and while I don't know if Lickliter (sp?) will right the ship over there, but after seeing a little bit of a couple games of iowa's, I do think he's a better coach than Alford. There certainly isn't much talent on the squad, but they do play pretty hard, which I always attribute to coaching.

That being said, I'm probably going to have a lot of fun watching that team lose many games this year!

He's been assuming that position a lot this year so far. I just don't like it.

But, I don't have to - because he's not our coach.

We should probably decide on what derisive name we will call Iowa's coach for the upcoming game. I realize it is tempting to go with a dirty name, but I am thinking based on his coaching demeanor thus far...

So. Hawk: Did the 22 win season for the hawks you were predicting not long ago assume a victory over Lou/Monroe? Anyway, the ui-isu game is beginning to look like a titanic struggle to see which fan base can stay awake. Good luck with finals, kid.

Lets wait and see once they get Freeman back. Their new PG has been horrible. As we know, that position is very important. Kelly and Cole seem like quality players. I would take Kelly in a second.

I noticed that the Hawks do have one player that I wished we had. Justin Johnson can flat out hit the 3 ball. Other then that... I'm really not too worried about this team.

Alot of our success depends on if Wesley heals up or not.

personally, until someone has done something bad (rape, for example), I prefer to keep the name calling quiet. Beside the "Sit Down *first name of opposing coach*" is a classic and doesn't go out of style.

- keep.

I like Lickliter and I think it's way to early to be making prognostications on how good he's going to be. However, he really needs to step up in recruiting. Next year's team loses Johnson, Gorney, and Looby, and while Gatens can replace Johnson... who is going to play the post for them next year? They need some bodies in there. Gorney and Looby aren't great, but at least they have a pulse.

When Iowa BB starts bringing in 4 and 5 star players, we might have to start paying attention to them. Right now, no one cares.

And the football analogy doesn't quite fit because we are already beating Iowa with inferior talent , and Iowa's overall record sucks even with their top 25 recruiting classes. The tax payers of Iowa are not getting their money's worth with the state's highest paid employee!

You all know what is funny?

There are more people talking about U of I basketball on this Cyclone website than who actually attend the games.

Are you saying we can't call them "hawkeyes" any more? Because there is no name WORSE than "hawkeye" that I can even imagine....
