There certainly is a lot of talent coming in the next year or two. Not to rain on the parade but the previous coach had plenty of talent and we know the end result. Obviously the key to the whole thing will be how well Fred can coach and manage players. That is a big unknown at this point, but there are a lot of positives with the program right now.

I love Chris Allen! We are going to dominate the vote! Gonna live like we're dying..... He was great opening for Keith.

On a serious note, Go Cyclones!

That whole "I got all the NBA GM's on speed dial" line must work after all. Who knew?

Pretty amazing what we have done on the transfer front - here are rankings out of HS.

Royce - #19
Chris Allen - #33
Anthony Booker - #43

No kidding, and don't forget/sleep on Babb. How many do you think we put on Dickie V's annual "All-Transfer Team"?

This is just great news. Now, I just hope CFH can promote team chemistry AND keep RW here until 2011.

Could be scary good.

I think that the only position on there that we have missing is PG. We should have 4 of the 5.

No doubt! Its exciting!
But I am Cyclone fan and therefore paranoid. 2011 is a ways away and college bball is volatile. I sure hope we can keep these 3 guys here until then!

So here's a question, would getting worked by your scout team everyday be demoralizing? Or would it breed quality competition? I am not saying our scout team will beat our starters this year, but those four plus a decent PG would be a heck of a lineup, to have to play day in and day out.

Our scout team will dominate our starters.

Babb vs. Scotty probably a wash
White vs. Vanderbeken Advantage White
Booker vs. Raily or Mcknight. Right now advantage booker
Palo vs Diante Advantage Diante just due to lack of experience.

If the starters were an upperclassmen dominated group I think it could be, but since we have a lot of young guys I think it will really push them to develop quickly and also see first hand what it takes to compete at this level.

Where do people get the "previous coach had plenty of talent", stuff? I emphatically disagree with that statement.

I'm pretty sure the NCAA doesn't keep stats on it, but I have to wonder if any program has seen a wider discrepancy in numbers from the number of players transferring out in one season to the number of players transferring in just a few months later.

Great news! It's nice to be excited about basketball again.
