Done. Taught in a summer program a few years ago and one of the participants one week was a girl around 10 years old with Juvenile ALS. Hearing from her aides & teacher how she went from being a healthy, active girl to dependent on 24-hour nurses and being non-verbal, non-mobile in less than a year was gut-wrenching. Will never forget her laughter & "thumbs up" when she got excited about an activity.

My wife's cousin just passed from ALS about a month ago. Young guy with a young daughter. Gut wrenching to watch. Good luck to your bro in law.

I went to school with mike and worked with him at isu on the athletic fields. He also was an intern for me down in florida at roger dean stadium. I can honestly say he is the nicest guy I've ever known. He is a great guy and such a hard worker. I really hope he wins because he deserves so much more! Keep mike and others like him in your thoughts and prayers!! Go Mike!!

I misspoke earlier. The benefiting chapter would be the IOWA ALS Association chapter. Not just Des Moines specific. Thanks again for all the support Cyclone Nation.

What a nicely written story! "Liking" it is the least I could do.
