Chicago also scares me too, Rose, Boozer, and Noah... that's one hell of an opportunity.
Credibility shot. Boozer has one year left on his contract and Noah and Rose are far from one hell of an opportunity. Anyone going to the Bulls is almost guaranteed to do less than what Thibodeau has been able to squeeze out of that bunch for the past four years.

Rick's wife is sick, I believe. So he may step away to be with her. Isn't Flip in the front office? Perhaps he comes back to take over?

i know Fred's family a bit. I know the NBA is a real possibility -- especially the T-Wolves -- but I really feel like the timing isn't right. Him leaving after this year would surprise me. I would say the Fred-Con level is still green.

I would be disappointed if Fred leaves now, no conference titles or sweet sixteens even yet. Not that I would blame him. Just be disappointed.

At some event, Pollard said that Hoiberg would leave for the NBA someday.

Just Pollard in typical "look at me" mode...

Well, he isn't wrong. Do people really expect Fred to be the coach here for the next 30 years? I even think 10 or 15 is pushing it.

That's not what was said at all. Topic title should probably be changed, lest our fans be misled.

What was said? I missed it.

Personally I don't think Fred bails this soon. His mentor coached here for 14 years. He wants to do big things at ISU.

I do not see any current coach being at their school for the next 30 years. If 30 years is what is required to say a coach is not leaving someday, then start the headlines: Coach K to leave Duke.
