I may be the only person that is bothered by this, and it really isn't that big of a deal, but I thought I would just throw it out there to see what other people thought. Is there anyway of keeping the betting threads off of the "Home" page? It seems like on saturday and sunday it's hard to see anything other than the games to bet on. Like I said it doesn't really bother me a ton, but it would be easier to see the hot topics without them there I think. Don't mean to push any buttons... just a suggestion. And for the record I really enjoy the betting board.

Yeah the non ISU game discussion goes on in those threads to save space. I say keep them on, there is just not that many "new" isu threads. Plus I think that the betting board is a really cool feature that seems to be very popular, and is pretty unique to CF.

The problem is that most of the game discussion occurs in these threads now too.

Yeah I thought about that while I was typing. It is still really easy to access these threads though if you are interested in a game. The problem is a lot of these games I could really care less about and they get in the way. Just stating my point of view... like I said before I don't mean to step on any toes.

I definitely want them kept on, don't get me wrong, I was just wondering if they could be confined to the depths of the Betting Board Index.

As noted, often times these threads contain discussions about the event. Moving them off the front page would just cause threads to be started for some events - creating duplication.

IMO, the "best" solution would be to give members the option to select the sections they would like to see on the home page. Any sections unchecked would not show up on the home page view and to read those threads, you would need to view the "New Posts" page (that shows everything) or go to those specific sections.

That my friend is a brilliant idea and I salute you for it. I was thinking about just having the moderators move the new threads back into the betting threads, but then I guess we would get the who deleated my thread post.

Very Very rarely does a bookie event ever appear in anything other than the betting board. I know I have never made an event that is not on that board.

Speaking of betting, Markshir sure went over the top tonight. He is the Annointed One at over a million credits.

I think his point was not that the betting boards appear in other forumns, but they always appears on the home page as in the 10 most recent threads. He doesn't want to see them there. In order to see what you can bet on on add comments, you just have to go to that particular forumn.

I agree. The kids on this website might be injured by seeing all this betting and talk about favorite beers. All 7 of them.

Ok......that is hilarious. I just checked and there is no longer a never ending thread. I guess that takes a wee bit of the steam off my complaint:biglaugh:

Yeah you can go back to having your cave where it is just you and Alaska arguing about stuff.
