Per ISU football facebook page "We will have a special visitor here Friday night. It weighs 130 pounds... It is the BCS National Championship trophy."

They'll have it on the field for the broadcast since OSU is a NC contender. They did the same thing for the Oregon/Stanford game last Saturday. Hopefully it jinxes them like it did Stanford!

yes. they let the schools keep it IIRC. I remember seeing trophy cases at school's that have won, but they could be replica's i spose.

I say when we win somebody goes and steals the BCS trophy..hold it ransom until the BCS pays for all their **** ups against us in football and especially basketball vs Michigan St...save the money up and bowl in the end zone...I mean if somebody can steal beer from a cooler this isn't out of the realm of possibility.

I still laugh at that. All the uproar the original family trophy caused, then we go and break the interim trophy, that's just classic. I am literally laughing about it right now, as I type this. Seeing that thing in two pieces floating above the crowd is right up there in my favorite Cyclone moments for sure.

i think its a little premature to bring it to Ames, I think ISU is 2-3 seasons away from competing for the national champtionship.
