Pretty sure Prohm did not learn from some random message board's criticism.
Its not about balls, its about understanding that losing teams/franchise panic during the rough patches, and those that keep their cool tend to have longer term success
Agree there is nothing wrong with fair criticism. Questioning of timeouts, etc. Have at it. (And this is probably where you fall)
My frustration is not pointed towards that fan at all.
It's when it turns into the comments of "this is the way it will always be." "Guy is a mid major coach" "Bring back Fred" that is just stupid ignorant fan. Who does not wait for the season to play out, and assume a few bad games determine the ability of a coach. I think this is the minority of fans, but man they sure are f'ing irritating.
For me I had a feeling it was going to take awhile to figure out the front line situation. We graduated one of the better front lines in ISU history.
Until they developed even the smallest amount of adequate post presence, the offense was going to struggle. The numbers on the transfers did not point to the highest potential, numbers were pretty pedestrian. Was going to take awhile to figure it out, maybe a little longer than I had hoped, but felt confident the new guys would gel. Holden never really did I guess, but Young absolutely did, and Bowie, has had more big 12 level games lately.
And I absolutely think Morris did not trust any of his post guys early in the season.
I already wonder what will happen next year with a big rebuild. wonder if the fire Prohm bunch will be out in full force if the team starts out slowly, because that is probably what is going to happen, a slow start with improvement through the year.
Actually if the lose to Nevada, the fire him will start then.
