Do you use a "fan-o-meter" to determine level of ISU enthusiasm for Cyclone wins, or just exactly how is that measured?
I was about to call him out on being "bigger fan" thrilled you dosed the medicine instead. His posts were stupid...and continue to be.

Yeah, it's really quite pathetic that some of you guys first inclination after we just won is to call out fellow fans.

I don't have any regrets of what I said 7 weeks ago. We weren't playing up to our potential, our offense looked disjointed, we had no inside game. Things have changed obviously but for some reason instead of enjoying this you guys want to call out people.
Extremely pathetic!

I just want Steve to marry me.

I'll eat crow when I'm wrong and admit it, I won't standby while it's shoved down my throat by a bunch of posters who obviously enjoy ripping fellow fans instead of enjoying a win.

I would love to go back about 7 weeks and see what some of you "holier than thou" fans were posting during some of our games back then, but it isn't worth my time. I'm sure I'd see a lot of people predicting we'd win the Big 12 Tournament back then, right? Nope. So don't come on here now and act like you knew we'd finish the season like this, because NOBODY did.

And what am I supposed to apologize for anyway? At the time, we were playing like hot garbage. Most on here agreed. And yes, if we continued to play like that, we wouldn't have even ended up in the NIT. So when your team is playing like that, then what's wrong with saying it?

Luckily Prohm made the necessary changes and we kept improving and not making the same mistakes we continued to make during the first half of the year. I give Prohm and the players all the credit in the world for what they've been able to do this year.

But don't kid yourself if you weren't ticked off to no end after the Iowa game, or the Texas game, etc, etc. There is nothing wrong as a fan to call out your senior laden team for not playing like a senior laden team should. We're fans, fanatics, and that's what fanatics do. That's what makes this all fun. Just enjoy it all and be glad it happened the way it did instead of going back and acting like you were a so much better fan than anyone else, when you really aren't at all.

I'm trying to enjoy it, but some on here won't let it go that some of us called it like we saw it 7 weeks ago, and they feel the need to pat themselves on the back and shame others even though they know they were in the same boat.

Criticism is normal. What's being called out is that season success or failure was being declared in December/January. For the most part, people were being patient with the exception of a vocal few in this thread. Everyone had doubts in December, but some of us saw the foundation built on defense and were waiting to see if the rest would fall into place. Being patient does not make one a sunshine pumper, just a bit more appreciative of the season-long process.

I was definitely a doubter at one point. He's learning to as a young coach. Wvu cut the lead down to 5 in that game and prohm instantly called a timeout. I don't think he would have done that at the beginning of the year and I do think if he didn't call a timeout when he did yesterday we could have had a completely different outcome. When you start to actually hear wvu fans it's probably time to call a timeout lol

Our seniors were playing like freshman earlier this year. And some decisions by staff were odd. But it was nonsense to think coaches were bad or players lost their edge. Just dumb.

Over the last almost 2 months, exactly the opposite. Only one guy on the team isn't playing his best hoop of his career - Holden. Everyone else, top of their game right now. Amazing. Players and staff deserve that credit.

So why are people still blathering on about this?

Go ahead and do it. Plenty of posters were keeping a level head and planning on letting the season play out instead of freaking out, declaring the season a disaster and calling for Prohm's head. Not at all surprised to see you here trying to defend yourself though. Most of your posts on here are complete garbage and rarely does anybody agree with you but that sure as hell never slows you down.

OK master, what exactly were you hoping to teach by digging up an old thread?

That we aren't allowed to criticize Prohm when we weren't playing well?

He can answer for himself, but I'm guessing that maybe those with agendas should let things play out before they make absolute statements.

The fact that you're so upset by it, really says more about you than him.

I think most of us like myself had issues with Prohm's calling time outs when we started to score after a long drought in a game. We also had issues with Holden playing more minutes when he was pretty much screwing up and not being effective and causing useless fouls. Coach Prohm is now letting the boys keep scoring freely without those weird timeouts that in my(if not most) opinions, left us scratching our heads wondering why would he call timeout when the team is starting to get into the rythm. So maybe Prohm learned something from our criticism. Solomon Young has been the game changer too, so not all you "True" fans out there predicted that Solomon Young was going to be getting the much needed rebounds and score like he is doing now. So don't act like you are Miss Cleo here because you were punicking also but just didn't have the balls to rightly criticize Coach Prohm. I also called him pathetic in one thread, but after the KU win, I retracked my words because he has been doing a great job.

This thread is just proof there are some that take the season as a whole before making opinions, and there are some that live and die each and every moment. A little of both probably makes the best fan.

I found the timeouts peculiar because it was unique but I didn't have issue with them. While we could play good defense for a good portion of the game, we would also stop communicating and not recover on switches. This was just a result of playing different lineups where the kinks weren't worked out at that point in time. We were still developing. The coach is extremely limited to when he can call a timeout so , yeah, it was usually after a made basket. I don't think he was trying to kill momentum at all, but rather trying to get the lineup on the floor playing defense instead of trading baskets. Prohm doesn't need to call the timeouts as often now, because we have gotten far better with whatever lineup combination is on the floor.
