Are there any hotels left in Memphis?

Seriously, this is your fault cyclone nation! I cannot find a hotel at all. I should of booked way sooner. But seriously, if anyone has recommendations of where to stay outside of Memphis let me know! Myself and 5 others have decided to make the trip, have our tickets but no hotel. Thinking maybe Germantown? But how far is that from Beale Street and what not? Driving wise anyways, I'm not sure how easy it is to get around Memphis or traffic. Thanks

Germantown is not too far away and seems to be the 2nd favorite location of those travelling from what I have read. 20 mins from Beale and the stadium roughly it looks like.

I would imagine there are large blocks held back by some of the groups with packages that will be released if they don't sell out. Keep looking.

You can sleep in my tub for $350 if you want.

I booked a room last night at the Comfort Suites near the airport (2575 Thousand Oaks Cove). It's closer than Germantown and seems to be a safe area. I got a room for $76.50/night, nonrefundable rate. It's $90 if you want the right to cancel.

Might want to double check that. Prepare your angus.

Best Western Plus Goodman Inn & Suites in Horn Lake, MS is supposedly a 3.5 star joint and is 17 miles (25 minutes) south of Beale Street according to Google Maps. $55 a night with Hotwire.

I'm a little insulted by your insinuation. I've done my homework, including a good conversation with a former colleague who currently lives just outside Memphis. It's certainly not a lily-white suburb, but it's also not West Memphis. My wife and I aren't afraid of an area that's a little rough around the edges. We've both lived in big cities for years. Read the reviews on TripAdvisor - almost all of the recent ones are very positive. The negative ones mostly gripe about the room quality, not safety. We've always had good experiences with Comfort Suites, and we don't plan on spending much time in the hotel anyway.

To each his own - but I'd appreciate keeping the juvenile insults to yourself.

Check that. Do not go out at night.

Look at this place on a map. Seriously, where would we want to "go out" at night here? It's on a dead end street behind a Marriott, a Hampton, and an office park. This isn't an area with high foot traffic. You don't pick a place like this to "go out". You pick it because the hotel itself is safe, and it's a close drive to downtown and the stadium for a good price.

I guess if you want to "go out" in Germantown, this isn't your place. We'd rather be downtown at night, and this was the best option left. Again, to each his own.

By the way, it's also one of the 12 recommended hotels listed on the Liberty Bowl website. Just noticed that you can get a refundable rate of $84 through that site if anyone else is still looking. Hope to see some more Cyclones there.

My wife and I are staying at the Hampton next to that comfort suites. The area is fine, stayed there for work several times...dont let some of the know-it-all morons on the board get to you.

See if there is anything in Southhaven ms. There are all sorts of hotels just off I55 and right across the state line. Pretty sure the second hotel that Adam booked for the CF bus trip was the Hilton Garden Inn in Southhaven.

We are staying at the Drury Inn in Horn Lake, MS. About 20 minutes from the Liberty Bowl and 25 minutes to Beale Street and under $100 a night.
