Jazz or Gala. I eat one almost every day while driving home from work. My yellow lab greets me at my pickup door when I get home, puts his front feet up on the running board, and impatiently lets me pet him while he waits for his apple core treat.

Gala for me. I go with Granny Smith often too, but I find that Gala are more consistently good.

FYI: nearly all apples in Texas suck (trucked in; I can't wait to get back to Iowa) but I guess we get some fine bananas (closer to import), peppers, and melons.

Pink Lady far and away. Surprised so many of you are giving it props, thought I was the only one.

I eat an apple every day too. Fuji is my favorite. It has that nice sweet almost butteriness, and the flesh has a nice consistency - not too crisp like the Honeycrisp, but not like a baked potato, either (lookin' at you, Golden Delicious).
The Ambrosia would be my second pick, with Pink Ladies, Honeycrisps, and maybe Cameos rounding out the top 5.

Red Delicious? Really? Do you buy all the rest of your fruit at Casey's too?

I didn't think most people considered the red delicious to even qualify as an apple. They are without doubt the worst tasting apple on the planet.

Only kind of apple I'll eat is Granny Smith, love 'em. Can't say I've had a Honeycrisp, but Granny Smith hasn't steered me wrong yet so I'll probably just keep on keepin on. And Red Delicious are a disgrace to apples everywhere.
