Not only that, but as a true freshman, and one that didn’t play the first 4 games.
We missed Lanning's run ability last year until Purdy came in. Kempt and Zeb were both too immobile and defenses didn't have to respect the run. Hoping this slows down the rush a bit next year and we do a better job of using the RPO to break free Montgomery if he comes back or the other 3 who are waiting in the wings.

I'm not too proud to admit the comment about our BB team being 11-15 and had a sold out arena, and the fans being a big reason BP came here brought a tear to my eye. Loyal Sons( and daughters) Forever True!

Funny, I ran into Mr. Purdy at Tasty Tacos in Ankeny today. I introduced myself to him and told him I saw his interview linked above. He said he drove 22 hours and did that interview right after that. What a coincidence to see my first interview of his and run into him a couple hours later. I told him his comment about the fans was very appreciated.
I told Carl Gomez he was one of my favorite players after a game. He didnt believe me. But I was serious.
