I wasn't too impressed with Arizona when I watched them lose to UCLA in Phoenix. Looks like they have only lost 1 game since
I haven't seen them play yet this year - but they haven't beaten anyone really good.

They are 0-3 in Quad 1A games, and 3-6 in Quad1 games total. Those 3 wins are Baylor, @ WVU (after losing to them on a neutral floor earlier) and @ Cincy. They are 4-0 at home in conference games, but Baylor's the only top-half team they've played in Tucson.

Looking at remaining SOS metrics, ISU likely needs win either tonight, at KU, or at Houston to make the 1 seed line..

Auburn is locked in unless multiple players have season ending issues, Duke is worshiped because of the brand and the Auburn win, plus Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida have way more opportunity for resume building wins.

For example, 10/11 remaining games for Alabama are Q1, most being Q1a, and ISU only has 5/12 remaining

I was thinking this was a for sure L but then looked at their schedule and results so far.

Their league wins are WVU, Cinci, TCU, UCF, Baylor, Okie State, Colorado. Not exactly a list of the league best. Not saying they're bad at all. And still think it's unlikely we win, but maybe the chances of winning are a bit better than I thought.

This kind of jibes with the Haslametrics 'paper tiger factor' mentioned in the computer projections thread.
Interesting.

Arizona is the kansas football of b12 basketball - lose all your relevant non-conf games to tank the reputation/metrics of the b12, and then get your ^&%$ together and start beating the teams in conference.

I think Gilbert comes out of his slumber tonight and shows Jones he's not the only one who can put up big numbers. Joshua Jefferson puts up another Double Double and the Clones win by 6.
