No, there isn’t.There is nothing dumb about it being likely we have a drop off from one of the best WR duos in school history.
However, that’s not what was said. Not remotely.

Murdock too…I feel like there is another I am missing.Pettway, Hutchinson, Higgins ...
If you're in the portal, you'd have to take a long look at going to ISU.
Purdy was/is a gamer. Loved Sammy B.I was thinking about this tonight, the Top 5 since 2000 thread we all participated in, and the general consensus was mostly Purdy 1, Seneca 2, and Meyer 3. After that every had their own opinion (I personally put Sammy B at 5 due to his stats when he left).
At the rate he is going, Rocco is easily #2, and might even surpass Purdy (VERY unpopular opinion, but I think Rocco is more fun to watch than Purdy).
Take away the first half of the 2002 season, and the overall excitement he provided us in his two seasons, is Seneca really #2? Thinking about it tonight, I think I would actually put Meyer above Seneca.
Again, I know this will be a very unpopular opinion, and I know this will be dumbed into oblivion.
Perhaps I am overthinking stats and longevity too much, and not putting enough thought into overall impact on the program?
Brando likes Iowa State. It is time for Tim Brando to retire. I was so sick of the way he slobbered all over Dave Aranda and the Baylor team.
Dual threat QBs are overrated. Injury prone and rarely good passers. Give me a pocket passer who is a good decision maker with an adequate ability to scramble and run when things break down. There is nothing dumb about it being likely we have a drop off from one of the best WR duos in school history. Particularly in the NIL era. As Blum says, enjoy this season, one in which proven talent passed on leaving for a lot of money.
Although nearly every CMC team has had very good skill position talent, NFL level, this one has everything needed to be the best offense in school history imo. I hope we see improvement as the season goes on.
The only thing we don’t have is the dual-threat at QB, although Rocco is not a statue
He looked good most of the night. Exceptions: the terrible decision to try to throw the ball away at the end of the first half; and the play where Sama ran a swing pattern to the right side with no Baylor defender within 20 yards of him and Rocco never looked that way.Right. It wasn't near perfect. But I thought Rocco looked fairly sharp.
Guy's still jacked up from the play in the interview hours later. Awesome sauce.
Taylor Mouser has a good feel for the game call the last few weeks, and it's something that doesn't get mentioned a whole lot.

does anyone know what they are going to do with those helmets? Seems like it’s been forever since they sold game worn helmets ….
I think he outsmarted himself early on when it was 3rd and 2 and called a shot to Higgins 1 on 1 instead of just running the ball 2 times. The run game was dominant on that first drive and the turn over on downs really took the air out of the stadium early on. It took a while to get momentum back. Other than that I thought he called a great game.He doesn’t seem to outsmart himself the way Manning would sometimes. Let your heady QB and talented skill players cook.
Having Higgins/Noel and an absurdly deep RB room helps for a first year.

Not sure the INT is nit picking. Really bad decision there. Took points off the board at a time when the game was tight. Haven’t seen Rocco do that in a while. He looked good most of the night. Nit-picking. A terrific game to watch.
He was attempting to throw it away and couldn’t get enough mustard on it because he was getting sacked. It was 100% the right decision, just poor executionNot sure the INT is nit picking. Agreed he was doing the right thing, but you could argue the best decision there was to take the sack and guarantee yourself a chance at 3.He was attempting to throw it away and couldn’t get enough mustard on it because he was getting sacked. It was 100% the right decision, just poor execution
Completely agree. However I really like the aggressiveness in the play call there. Feels like past CMC teams/OC’s would have run it 3 times and settled for 3. I appreciate the attempt to go for 6 thereAgreed he was doing the right thing, but you could argue the best decision there was to take the sack and guarantee yourself a chance at 3.
