Lipsey and a 3 pointer to silence the doubters. Stand back non believers

I think the general feelings are he has the ability to hit shots, it's just a timing thing for confidence or mechanical adjustments.

Confidence is the biggest one imo. Started to get the yips last year

I'm hoping they ascend a bit more toward the end of the season.

Loved the last two years but there was a ceiling/plateau there even with the two tourney wins.

Perhaps if they get the right situation they can really match up with a more athletic team in March.
I think that the previous two teams pretty much maxed out by executing so well and playing so hard. Part of that is due to the experience that they had. This one lacks a lot of that experience, but has a much higher ceiling.

It will be interesting to see how they do defensively. TJ has made this into a defensive program, and this is the best talent hes had offensively. 7 PM cant come soon enough!

Excited to see Lipsey's improvement offensively. With him being able to shoot the 3 consistently, he becomes VERY tough to guard. Have also heard that Ward has made leaps and bounds on the offensive side of the ball as well, so looking forward to seeing him get some more minutes as well. I cant remember a time where ive been more excited for basketball, and maybe some of that is because my soul needs a Cyclone W after Saturday was so rough

I don’t even want to see him shoot very many threes. He shouldn’t really need to. I think that’s going to be the “critique du jour” of the season.

“I thought Lipsey was supposed to be a 3 point shooter now!”

But imo he should have much better options for setting others to shoot open 3’s and that’s what I want to see. I think on offense his driving and kicking or finding a cutter is going to be his key on offense. There should be a ton of options in that part of the game.

I think where Lipsey is going to kill it is on the defensive side. He was already pretty good, now with more experience he should be VERY good.

The basketball double header today makes the Monday much more palatable

Double header? Games tip off at 3:30 today. It’s like the first round of the NCAA tournament, minus any but one or two actually being competitive.

Agreed. But now that he can shoot the 3, it prevents these teams from giving him 10+ feet of space

I think Lipsey just needs to be a threat to take it and make it if they sag off of him. He's going to be a problem for other teams if they have to try to guard him at the arc.

This is what I’m talking about, we do t know if he can shoot the three in actual games. Seems like we fixate on one aspect like this every year. He’s going to better by default almost. Just don’t want to start the season with Tamin not shooting much and then there are 10 threads on “Lipsey 3 point shooting?”.

If he doesn’t have to shoot I don’t think he will and that’s hopefully a positive this year.
