Why is there 1 or 2 espisodes where Jerry has a different dad? I have always been curious.

My favorite is Jackie Chiles "Who told you to put the balm on, did I tell you to put the balm on, I didn't tell you to put the balm on?"

Seinfeld is my all-time favorite comedy. Second is Curb Your Enthusiasm is second.

Nothing else is close IMO.

Those two shows, along with South Park and It's Always Sunny are my favorites. Curb Your Enthusiasm starts to get a little predictable sometimes (Larry is horribly misunderstood, and thus chasitized for the rest of the episode), yet it's still 20x better than most things on tv.

Testifying
I've always wondered how Jerry's door is at an angle and that Kramer's isn't but they are right across from each other and at the end of the hall. In Jerry's place half of the apt. is on one side of the door and on the other, In Kramer's it all appears to be on the right when you open the door.
I've always wondered about the bad architecture in that show.

Ahhhh….I hate to break this to you, but it is just a TV show and that is not his real father.

Same TV father, two different actors.

Although rare, this has happened on other shows in TV's past. The most obvious to me is Darrin from Bewitched.

It was funny when the original Becky came back, in her first scene Roseanne just looked at her and said “Hey Becky, where ya’ been?â€￾

Great shows but Arrested Development is by far better IMO.
I agree but the bastards took it off the air.

Seinfeld is the greatest.

Always Sunny is GREAT as well (in a different way than Seinfeld).

Curb is awesome too.

This is a public humiliation.

No one can tell what a balm is gonna do! They are unpredictable!

Seinfeld is first and there is no second! As far as the contradictions, there are a ton of them, but I think those only make it more interesting.

The best parts are the recurring actors playing different roles (and not just the big red headed extra).

I love the fact that my jakemcilroy will randomly text me sienfeld sayings. I have almost spit out pop in company meetings several times because of this. What I loved about Sienfeld was that no one ever grew up or learned anything. As a sitcom this is what set it apart from MASH and Roseanne and the like. Those would occasionally deal with a real deep topic. I like the randomness from episode to episode. And I like the fact that there was very little continuous storyline from episode to episode. Only settings (like Elaine's job for Mr. Pitts or George working for the Yankees).

Yup. I think I heard an interview with Larry David where he said the show's motto was "no hugging, no learning". That's what makes it (and Always Sunny) so great. The characters are so despicable, and it's never "warm and fuzzy".
