And that's why you go to the game LMAO
Yeah I was at the game and was so astonished there wasn’t a technical called. I mean what’s more taunting than clapping and talking directly to the head coach of the other team?

TJ must’ve said something to Beard too because Beard all of a sudden started freaking out and coming close to the half court and pointed at TJ and stuff. It’s probably why Beard didn’t give TJ an ounce of credit after the game. Such a little man for that.

Beard got pissy a couple times when TJ was talking with the refs. He kept stareing over at TJ looking all pissy, even when he should have been coaching his team in a timeout.
Was at the game, saw this happen, it appeared at one time that Beard and TJ were full on arguing with each other without a ref nearby and and a ref came by and kind of broke it up. Not sure when it was, may be late first half. Seemed like Beard was trying to intimidate TJ, and Otz wasn't going to take his ****.

Other things of note:

Late crowd (myself included), but it filled in and got loud. Love the energy of live sports.

Brockington didn't have his best game, but man does that guy hustle. Offensive rebounds, flies around on defense, and great ups for 6'4".

There were a bunch of sweet bounce passes from around the free-throw line to cutting players directly under the basket for easy reverse layups (RJ and TE come to mind as the cutters). Nice to see that vision, reminded me of Morris to Niang with Georges using the basket as a personal defender on the reverse against taller opponents.

One wish: Instead of Conditt throwing the ball away when no one is open after holding on to it for about 5 seconds at the top of the key, maybe put it on the deck and drive to the hole to possibly score, get a foul, or draw someone off someone else. Jones was in a similar position late in the game, made a nice spin move and still missed the shot, but that was a better option than throwing it away IMO.

Great win, this team is intense and fun to watch!

Why do I feel like they could have shown the clapping in the coach's face but didn't.

It's not like they don't always have a camera on the coach.

I watched on my laptop and had another ESPN game on the tv and their update for UT/ISU was all about what UT needed to do to win as ISU had built a nice lead.

Those types of instances aren't not connected.

Hate to go to the 'body language' thing but you could tell Brock was rightfully frustrated BUT he seemed to catch himself and shored up to move on in the moment...that's one more thing I'm loving about this group and their foundation; they won't allow themselves to get down and that's a tough thing for the opponent to deal with.

Agreed on Conditt on that sequence--maybe not a drive but just dribble a bit to create some separation/movement for the defense to adjust a bit.

They never showed a replay of what started that whole thing.

Yeah when he charged to half court when TJ was talking to the refs towards the end of game I was like WTF? He looked really pissed. That combined with his bitchy postgame comments about TJ being successful because of the foundation Prohm built makes me think he just doesn't like TJ much for some reason.

Pretty easy to figure out, really. TJ is an actual threat (winning, coaching, recruiting). He knew Prohm wasn't a threat. Easy to like guys who aren't a threat to your success.

Lol. Beard is a complete tool if he actually believes this. Prohm already had a mansion built, completely burned it down and all that was left was a foundation for TJ to rebuild on.

He didn’t even provide TJ a foundation. Just a rubble strewn lot to clean up and start from scratch.

Beards post game is on cyclone streaming. I saw nothing to criticize him about. I didn't see coaches poll results.

Iowa State was picked last by every coach, which has been proven mathematically.
Beard said he didn't pick Iowa State last.

If he didn't, then one of his GAs did.

Lot's of generation O here. Offended by everything.
I think the fact he gave Steve Prohm more credit for this year than TJ is why people are commenting.. It’s an idiotic line of thinking and diminishes what TJ has done.
