Just a little tidbit. On Tyrese Hunters Instagram page you have players calling him “The General”. Just thought that was funny and fitting. Dude just absolutely controls this whole team as an 18 year old

He's the guy in the 80s movie that, while everyone else is freaking out, calmly says the cool thing before the montage starts.

Seriously though I think for several reasons he's beyond his years.

I think it interesting that next year also, we might have two 'Hunter' generals leading our teams. Henter Dekkers and Tyrese Hunter.
When the Bearded Wonder was jawing to Conditt when the game was decided made want to kick their ass
Patience my padawan! We must plan and be patient.

As we get older, even 21 year olds all look like babies.

speaking from personal experience, of course.
If that's your grad year in your screen name, you've got me by about 8 years. If that's your birth year, I've got you by about 14 years. Either way, college froshes look like tweeners to me now. ;)

Yeah Carr was totally taunting TJ from like 5 feet away. Obvious T, not called. Ref was right there too. Saw that clear over in sect 236.

I think Beard was screaming abt TJ being waaaay out of the coaches box (which he was). Idk if he was trying to just wind up the refs to get calls, or what. But it was just rich, because Beard is way out of the box all the time too. What a doorknob.
I was there at the game. After this sequence, it appeared Beard was also facing the crowd and jawing with some fans. Could've been talking to one of the half dozen UT fans that made the trip too, idk. Was not close enough to hear what was being said

Also, my thoughts on this Texas team and Beard prior to the season appear to be correct. Beard is a good coach but I think he has been a little overhyped because of one great tourney run. The past couple years he has recruited better players and transfers at Tech but it didn't lead to top tier results. This year he loaded up on a ton of top transfers and everyone was gushing over Beard and Texas but just looking at how they would fit together and Beard's style I didn't think they would be a great team. He always has a good defense but I don't think his offensive coaching is the best and I don't think his group fits together very well. He has also had two really high profile recruits transfer in season the last two years.

Any discussion on Beard's post-game comments? Tweeted out by Stanz

I was pretty big defender and still feel pretty sympathetic towards him and respect him (Steve) as a man who always seemed to try to do right by his kids. But what the eff is this?

Is he crediting the culture for the recruiting of Hunter?

The fact he mentioned culture numerous times is the most confusing/baffling. Is he serious?
That is just weird by Beard. He must not like TJ for some reason or is mad that he can't destroy ISU this year?

The warning signs were there. Texas continues to make bad decisions no one feels bad for them
