Two robins aggressively dive bombing a tree rat in my ginko tree. Boxster approves! Went out to look and finally found their nest. In an odd spot WAY out on branch rather than in branch fork like they usually do.

Last week they were after a couple blue jays (one of the flying rat species).

35W is a mess. I'd avoid it if at all possible. 35E to 27 to 73 to 2 might be a good option.

That's the usual route. Guess I may have to force Google Maps to see how long that drive is supposed to be.

On the road from 830 till 630 tonight then ordered a new vacuum hose for my folks central vac.

On a good note learned with the new tower up a may be able to finally be able to drop frontier (I hope this holds true)

Quick trip up to Marietta Mn tomorrow. Well not to quick it's 5 hrs up there.

Well waking up at 3:30 to make tea to soothe my throat wasn't on my to do list today, it feels better though and have a cup made to go.

@Sigmapolis, @cyrocksmypants, did you all live on high ground and avoid the flooding out east? I thought maybe it missed Pants but didn't know about Sig. Hpe you all stayed high anddry.

Yeah, it barely even rained where I am. I live in Fairfax, so I guess I’m just far enough west to avoid it? Some of the highways were closed though, which created a bit of a disaster, and I know one of my employees they lives in Maryland had to call out because his basement was completely flooded.

Speaking of vacations & Minnesota...

90% chance we're heading up next week to see the other set of in-laws way up north. (Grand Rapids area) Usually, we'd take 35 north as far as it would make sense, then meander our way up to route 2, then head west. Google maps has us taking 494 in TC to 101, and then 169 up. But I think, if I'm interpreting it correctly, I'm seeing construction on 494. We'd probably be hitting TC late lunchtime.

What say you, Minnesotans?
As a native, 101/169 is absolutely the fastest. Only issue may be 494-94

Maybe Nebraska was already doing enough. I had to bring in my old DL, something that proved my residency and address - I chose a property tax statement, and my birth certificate and social security card to establish citizenship, I suppose. While you may not have had to produce these to renew perhaps you had to when you initially got a Nebraska DL?
Could be, that was over 20 years ago and I usually can't rememeber what I had for dinner last night.

Nice easy 12 mile ride tonight. Will be lucky if I log 100 miles this year.

Was disappointed in rides earlier because the weather sucked all spring and was thinking I'll never ride as much as last year. However, it does appear I am consistent if nothing else since my CG biking spreadsheet showed last night was ride #22 and last years ride #22 was on the same day.

Check your windshield wipers. You're gonna need them.

I hear ya! Here was my stupid-ass brain drain when I was trying to go to sleep last night: where were the last 3 summer & winter Olympics held? I had cities, but could NOT remember the order! That was nearly an hour of sleep I lost to that pressing question.
