Agree. I think in the current college basketball landscape, any coach that is strictly adhering to a balanced roster, is going to struggle. Between transfers and players leaving early, you can't count on much more than 50% of your recruits staying for 4 years.

Balancing the roster has now taken on a new meaning. It's more about how many, and what type of, transfers can I bring in to supplement my projected roster for next season.

Yes, projecting roster composition more than two years is very difficult. Especially now with transfers and Prohm's recent success in getting players to the league. I doubt Prohm is looking to add 6 freshman this year but in reality it is unlikely all 6 would play 4 years in Ames and the classes will balance themselves.

I am in the camp of getting the best talent and figuring it out even if it means not getting a grad transfer to add some experience into next years lineup. Just getting a 22 year old from a smaller conference doesn't necessarily mean they will translate to Big 12 competition and play better than a freshman anyways (as we've seen).

If we want to be good next year we need at least one immediate eligible wing with experience. Last year should have taught us lesson about experience. Have to have experienced guys to win big.

All the grad transfers seem to be THT replacements. Best scenario though unlikely is Talen returning. That may be why he's pursuing grad transfers, because they are more willing to wait and see.

TH and Nixon give us solid experience in the backcourt next year. Adding Grill or Nadolny to Jackson and Leach gives us a solid base for the next few years w/ Haliburton.

Already posted in the "What teams are adding..." thread, but relevant to Nadolny's recruitment. CN is visiting WV tomorrow, prior to ISU Sunday, from the measurements and numbers seems very similar (or possibly redundant) to Clarence's profile.

Tajzmel Sherman-6’4 Jr G(juco transfer from Collin JC) , 10th/NR in juco rankings , 25.9 ppg/4.8 rpg/4.8 apg/1.6 spg as a So at Collin JC during the 2018-19 school year

That’s good. I’m
Honestly more worried about Tech. With the run they just made they became legit. They might be down to on scholarship though. I think I saw that.

Yep tech has one open as of now.

Anyone know if CD is there primary Target at this point? I know he is a target but wondering if they have bigger fish they need like a grad transfer. I always like recruiting when our primary target is someone elses secondary target.

Chris Harris jr is a 4 star 6'4" SG just set his commitment date earlier this week.

The four-star guard from Garland, Texas, will choose between Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Texas A&M on Thursday at 3:20 CT, according to Rivals’ Corey Evans.

OK st is the slight CB favorite as of today. I did see rumors that last night Boykin is getting feelers from St. John's and could be in play for their HC job. Could be the reason he abruptly set his decision date a couple of days ago.

On the Wheeler front, Abdur-Rahim could be taking the taking the Kennesaw St. job, he was the assistant @ A&M last year and could be a reason Wheeler was visiting Georgia this weekend.

@Goodmanhoops Kennesaw State likely to hire Georgia assistant Amir Abdur-Rahim, barring a breakdown in negotiations, source told @stadium. Abdur-Rahim has been on staffs at Texas A&M, College of Charleston, Georgia Tech and Murray State.”

That might kneecap UGA pretty hard in this sweepstakes.
