Probably the one where our program didn't have consecutive wins against ranked opponents since 1973.

That is a long time, but ISU was really bad for a lot of years, and when they played a ranked team in the time frame one of them was probably a national champ. Kind of an odd stat anyway. How often does a team play two ranked teams in a row. Iowa won't play two ranked team this year.

Horse crap - wish I was there to participate.

I'm starting to think some on here have no idea how much real pain and anguish so many have suffered, and I myself am on the young side of that.

There's been years when just getting 4 wins felt like an incredible feat.

Maybe in 3 years if ISU is consistently a top 25ish program, hold off. For now though? Go nuts folks.

I'll second this. This cannot be said enough

You know, you're correct, I think he might even have read the "night" part of it, I misunderstood it. Still a reach for a relevant stat.

The back-to-back wins vs. ranked teams since 1973 was more interesting (albeit humbling).

I was part of one of the last times we were able to tear down the goal posts - 1997 Baylor game.

I really questioned ISU taking a shot on that 3rd and 2 at the 40 on the play Buttler got called for offensive PI. Figured they would just run twice. Guess everything turned out in the end.

Really piled on the penalties in the last 5 minutes on both sides.

As I just got done saying, my first year at ISU was 1997, right smack dab in the middle of the nation's longest losing streak. We tore down the goal posts against Baylor.

Just think: had we not thrown an interception in our territory on our 2nd possession and if we had blocked better on the FG attempt - WV may not have scored a single point tonight. Was listening to Heft & Walters and Eric pointed out that this win was not even remotely as close as the final score indicated - soooo true! Feel great (even though my Brewers pi$$ed a late lead down their leg tonight). The Cyclone win took the sting out of the loss earlier in the day.

I see the posters with the stick up their asses are ******** about a bunch of kids getting excited about a top 10 win and storming the field.

Repeating...I think it's 'kids' not knowing the context.

It's like the dip in basketball last year and people acting like going to the NCAA tourney 6 years in a row was totally normal at ISU.

This **** is awesome.

The craziest part of this win was that this has got to be one of the most penalized games we’ve had under Campbell football. Pretty sure we’ve been one of the best in least penalties each of the last two years but we were just constantly shooting our selves in the foot.
