Letdown game here. But that's okay. We've done the damage. Classic can't get over the hump game mixed with some terrible officiating.

No idea, but it seems like an inordinate number of suspended or injured players make their return against us. We beat them with him playing in Ames, so whatever.

Or, something happens like the replacement going for a career high or hitting 5 threes.

Sounds like this is by choice and not necessity? I would love to hear your reasoning, as I sometimes think I would enjoy the season much more if I didn't live and die on every possession. I take the losses much better if I'm not able to watch, but if they win and I missed it all I want to do is find the first replay of the game I can find.
Nothing pisses me off more than spending 2 hours watching a losing game so I usually work out or do something distracting until it's over. If we win, I watch it, and if we lose it never happened. You'd be surprised how nervous I get watching a game where I already know the outcome.

I go to the home games so I tend to watch those live :). The Cincy game was 6 hours of my life I'll never get back.

I also have a rule that I never watch WVU play. I sold my tickets to that game and never saw a second. It's not basketball to me (hey let's foul every time and see if they call it) and I've boycotted all of their games. I still like Huggy though.

I'm feeling good about this game and about this team and the mindset they have going into from reading the post-Kansas game articles.

It will be tough, but I think we win 72-68.

I have been through this thread several times now, and I just don't seem to have a feel for the outcome. I was convinced we were going to get blasted Saturday (And how thankful I am that I was WRONG), and of course that didn't happen. Right now, I'm feeling like the Cattle want to prove they're not as bad as their record indicates, and our guys might be feeling just a little puffed up after The Great Lawrence, Kansas Raid.

So, with that in mind, I'm saying..................82-79 good guys. ;)

Iowa State goes up 10 or so at half, then Texas ties it with about 6 minutes, but the clones prevail 82-77

Good guys 81-74. I predict some ugly stretches but we ultimately pull through in the 2nd half.

I booked my B12 Tourney tickets so I must be drinking a little bit of Kool-Aid.

These pre-game prediction threads sure bring out the negative nannies. Yeah sure it's hard to win on the road but Texas just sucks this year. This game should be a gimme comparatively opposed to a beggars game.

I'm not one of the aforementioned people, but have you watched Texas play besides our game? They can play really well at times. With young kids, you just never know. I've seen games where their bigs just pounded the other team inside. That's where our ball pressure has to come in though, and I think we can do that really well with our guard match ups.

You're stronger than I am. I get way too worked up during a game, especially a loss on the road. But there's just no way I could voluntarily not watch a game.

Yes I've watched them. I'll give them more credit than what I've given them here. They are not the same team as when we first played them. They've lost a lot of close games against good teams. Jarret Allen can be a real beast and Andrew Jones can fly so they'll have to be contained. ISU should be able to beat this team but given the history, it's a tough place to play.
