Just took a quick look and you would think they could at least spell one of the only names used in the case correctly. The academic adviser for WBB is Jeff Cesler who they refer to in the suit as Sessler. If the rest of their facts are as sloppy it will be interesting.
Silence means very little. A lot of people want to keep their life/family out of the spotlight.A couple players (Ezell and Medders (Fennelly)) have posted on Facebook in support of him. Not surprising. My friend said it's the silence of others not showing support that people should pay attention to.
'I also noted in one spot they referred to Josh Carper and then referred to him as Josh Carpenter. The item that you pointed out and the one I pointed out point to this as being sloppy work by the Attorney (for reference see Better Call Saul and how HHM screwed up the Mesa Verde filing).
I'm certain Moody's attorney has those questions already prepared in interrogatories to Pollard. If Pollard had any prior notice of other complaints, ISU could be in trouble if they did not to address the matter with Fennelly.
So why didn't she transfer?
I know JP came back early from the Pinstripe bowl to have a talk with BF (after Schroll left the program).

maybe she didn't want to sit out a year. or leave her friends. or her boyfriend. or her educational program.
there have been several players that "almost" transferred out of this program, but didn't for a variety of reasons, like being engaged to someone else at ISU, for example.
Well this was taken completely out of context. It used to be that Bluder used the anti-gay thing against Fen during recruiting. She landed a couple of players because of it at Drake. Fennelly markets the same thing every ISU coach markets...family. Have you read all of the football recruits are saying why they come to Iowa State? Family atmosphere. The allegations of anti--gay were pure BS at the time. You can market the program as being "family" without being anti-– gay. It means that there are people here that will support you and there are places to go for a family environment (local folks who act as parents for the students). We do the same thing at the University I teach at. Actually, every dorm floor (we are a much smaller University) has "parents" who provide opportunities for students to get off campus, relax and enjoy having a home cooked meal. That is what family is all about. that is what family means to Iowa State athletics.
So don't pay attention to those who don't agree with her. Shocking. Not saying anyone is right or wrong here, but I wouldn't give you're friend passing info along through others more creedence than those willing to state something in a public manner with their names attached to it.
I REALLY don't think Bill singled her out because of her race but reading that, damn, his approach to demeaning his players is pathetic. Some of the things the lawsuit claims he said are pretty bad.
I do not know if the 2011 ESPN accusations were, or were not, "********." My guess is that you don't either. A previous poster had stated that s/he did not recall any previous allegations of discrimination related to Fennelly's program. The ESPN says differently.
If you teach at a university, you must certainly understand that rhetoric is not black and white. There is little doubt that "family and "family-oriented" are sometimes used as code words for discriminatory beliefs in contemporary social discourse. As the ESPN article suggests, at least one ISU recruit/player understood them in that way.
I hear "Family" coming out of Coach Campbell's mouth almost everytime he speaks, so does that mean he's discriminating?
