I'm only a little into that link but if it's true he was steering players to go into a different major that's just really sad.

Not exactly sure.
From what I got from a player as to why moody was suspended (when it happened). I am surprised this is happening. Either the player was way off or moody is not going to want the crap she was doing to get spread too much. I'm thinking she wants to damage BF, but not go to court.

"43. Nichole is the first player that Fennelly has ever suspended"

False. I can think of two prior suspensions and one player kicked off the team (all three caucasian).

Yeah, you know its a laundry list when it lists things like 'bill fennelly said chelsea poppens was his favorite player'.

Well she was one of my favorites too. I hope im not racist.

Well, I am guessing his current favorite player is Seanna Johnson (all praise for her 24/7) and he was just gushing with praise for freshman Burkhall while offering only backhanded "compliments" to Fernstrom before she left.

No, he definitely has his favorites but I don't believe for a minute it is race based.

ehh....someone pointed out what the wbb players majors were-pretty varied. I don't doubt that someone coming in who wants s challenging major might be told that it will be tough.

Three weeks ago it was Connie Yori,
Two weeks ago it was Tyler SUmiitt
Last week it was McCallie and Swoopes
By next week there will be two or three more lawsuits, internal investigations, what have you and people will forget about this.

take Summitt off the list. He is definitely guilty of breaching the role of a coach.

But that one is easily verified. Just look at the current majors for the girls on the team, it seems to rebuke her claim.

Testifying
E-Filed at 1pm on Friday in Polk County and here's what Keith Murphy has to say:

ISU spokesman John McCarroll on Nikki Moody suing Bill Fennelly:
"Iowa State University has not seen the lawsuit and has no comment."

That doesn't make sense.

No matter how it turns out, this will be bad for the university. I've heard that BF is hard on ALL his players, but I'll reserve judgement until all the facts have come out in this case.

It it takes a few days to have the paperwork get to who is suing through the clerk, through the mail and into the hands of the ones being sued. Then you want your lawyer to look first. Makes perfect sense.

To go further on that, the point before that states that the entire team had to run, but Poppens, who is white did not. That is not a racial discriminatory action when the rest of the team is running. I agree, some things seem to be stretching it. Another example is her freshmen year when she got assaulted at the bar, the univesrity called her in to ask her questions but said she was the victim. Not sure why put this in there.

Others seem to be very concerning.

I would like to see how this plays out.

Moody's Comment about BF
"A week later, Fennelly reinstated her.“I wasn’t going to let anything keep me from being with my teammates,” she said. “As much as me and coach Fennelly go back and forth, I still love him. At the end of the day, he’s a great man.
“I think coach Fennelly’s a great person and he means well for everyone,” she added. “Sometimes the things that he says, he doesn’t get it across how he wants just like anybody else.”

I agree. Was it racial, or just preferential? Unfortunately, allowing and giving current players and past players more resources and more "benefits" than others is preferential treatment, while probably isn't racist, it is definitely going to be problematic for BF and ISU to defend.

Despite their differences, Fennelly doesn’t think his relationship with Moody will be over when she graduates. In five years, he suggests, he and Moody may sit down and have a beer.
Maybe they’ll talk about her professional career and his years as ISU’s head coach. Maybe, he adds, they’ll sit back and laugh about the way they used to get under each others’ skin.
“I think there are players that, when you’re done coaching them, you appreciate their differences, and as a player, they appreciate what you were trying to do a little bit more than in the moment,” Fennelly said. “That happens. I imagine that’ll be the case with Nikki.”
Some of their issues, Fennelly said, stem from the fact that their stubborn personalities are too similar.
As their player-coach relationship draws to a close, Moody doesn’t doubt Fennelly’s intentions.
“Me having a strong backbone has helped our relationship in a sense that, I understand that he’s trying to help me and at the end of the day, making me see things that I didn’t see before,” Moody said. “He’s taught me the type of person that I don’t want to be and the type that I do, how he does things and trying to adjust.”Despite their differences, Fennelly doesn’t think his relationship with Moody will be over when she graduates. Just took a quick look and you would think they could at least spell one of the only names used in the case correctly. The academic adviser for WBB is Jeff Cesler who they refer to in the suit as Sessler. If the rest of their facts are as sloppy it will be interesting.

Well, I for one think its time for a change in the women's program. This is not the way I would like it to happen, however. I don't think Nikki Moody was a team player and ultimately not good for the team. At the same time I think the game has changed dramatically and Fennelly has struggled to change with it due to speed and physicality. I know he is tough on the players and I'm fine with that but I think his temper has often times gotten the best of him. I don't believe he is racist, but he may have crossed the line on his remarks IF they are true.

Carper spelled Carpenter in at least one instance.

A couple players (Ezell and Medders (Fennelly)) have posted on Facebook in support of him. Not surprising. My friend said it's the silence of others not showing support that people should pay attention to.
