I am guessing she has been following the Illinois case and maybe sees a chance to cash in since the Illini settled out of court.

Agreed. What are the odds her attorneys took the case on a contingency basis? That by itself it does not invalidate her claims, but it does make it more likely that this will be settled and none of us will ever have any idea if her concerns were valid (which I doubt).

Once you've been accused of being a racist there is no turning back..ever...His time at Isu is over..I have no dog in this fight...don't know anything.. but in today's age it's nearly impossible to overcome a racist charge whether true or not.
It won't be over if former players like Cole, Lightbourne, Stuckey, Ellis, and Kidd come to his defense.

Usually only about 8-10 die hard fans posting about WBB but this has all of the hot buttons. It's like waving a red flag in front of a bull or Chris offering everyone on CF free beer.

Hot buttons? Just think how nuclear this story will go if it somehow brought in Hoiberg.

Settled is still damage done and could cripple the program at a time when it is trying to regain some momentum.

Introducing our new WBB coach, fresh of his tenure as head coach of the Bulls, let's have a big hand of approval for COACH FRED HOIBERG!

This x1000. I have friends that hated him and another that won't say a bad thing about him. They are all really close friends and can't even talk about him in the same room because of how different things were and how they were treated.

I might be wrong, but I interpret Tre's post as meaning Bill treated all players the same. But the ones who consciously understood the reasons why Bill was tough on them, were the one's who like him. The one's who hate him apparently didn't get the "life lesson" that Bill was trying to teach them at the time.

Another interesting angle...in the article quoted in the OP, Cole, who is mentioned in the lawsuit, said she didn't want to be involved. Is Moody going to have her subpoenaed and make her testify? Will others have to be compelled to take part in this?

Settled is still damage done and could cripple the program at a time when it is trying to regain some momentum.

Three weeks ago it was Connie Yori,
Two weeks ago it was Tyler SUmiitt
Last week it was McCallie and Swoopes
By next week there will be two or three more lawsuits, internal investigations, what have you and people will forget about this.

I'd say 80% of the lawsuit is circumstantial and basically just fills out the case to attempt to establish some sort of pattern. It's the other 20% that's crucial.

Meanwhile Peterson and Hines are salivating like they are viewing the first course of an elegant French meal at a fine Paris restaurant.

For the record, this is not the first time Fennelly's program has faced criticism that fuels a culture of discrimination.

See: http://espn.go.com/ncw/news/story?page=Mag15unhealthyclimate

Well this was taken completely out of context. It used to be that Bluder used the anti-gay thing against Fen during recruiting. She landed a couple of players because of it at Drake. Fennelly markets the same thing every ISU coach markets...family. Have you read all of the football recruits are saying why they come to Iowa State? Family atmosphere. The allegations of anti--gay were pure BS at the time. You can market the program as being "family" without being anti-– gay. It means that there are people here that will support you and there are places to go for a family environment (local folks who act as parents for the students). We do the same thing at the University I teach at. Actually, every dorm floor (we are a much smaller University) has "parents" who provide opportunities for students to get off campus, relax and enjoy having a home cooked meal. That is what family is all about. that is what family means to Iowa State athletics.

or moody was the first player he suspended. Maybe that means moody deserved it.
