So, starting five is now: Morris, Thomas, Burton, Nader, Niang. Bench of Cooke, Ashton and maybe Carter now?
This thread is a hot mess.
Might as well happen now. There's a scenario where Burton impresses and gains trust, and Jameel comes back energized and a bit rested up.
This was suppose to be our Final Four year. And when you make it that far, it's anyones game. Now what?
Coach CSP has to get this team pulling in the same direction. :angry6wn:
This is all about a choice. We all wake up each day and choose to be a contributor or a contaminator. The great news with all of this is that with one choice it can all turn around. There is still time to influence how this chapter ends into something Jameel can be proud of.
I understand this is just basketball, but I see this as something that can potentially shape Jameel's future. I hope for him that this is the moment that he chooses to contribute, be a teammate, honor his commitment and honestly grow into being a man. Usually the wrong choices in life are the easy choices. Be man enough to make the right choice, no matter how hard it is. You will NEVER regret doing the right thing.
Well there is FMLA. Then, when that runs out there is always 99 weeks of taxpayer funded unemployment. And during that time I am sure an injury will be found, like maybe like a knee in which the pursuit of disability will ensue. And after being denied for some time, there will eventually be an approval in which disability pay will be retroactive to the day of the first filing and denial. So all in all the future looks bright.
the team seems like a fraud to me They can talk to the media just fine, but they have proven time after time theyare mentally weak. Hope that changes soon
And watch his girlfriend play at Hilton Saturday afternoon.![]()
McKay lost his pacifier and needs a diaper change.can't read all pages...do we know what happened?
When and why did things start to go wrong?
He paid his own way for a semester to come here, passing up other places who had scholarships. He was deservedly so, the Big 12 defensive player of the year last year. Seemed to put out max effort all the time.
I'm trying to think of a basketball player at ISU who did a U-turn like McKay his senior year, can't come up with one. Seems like things had already started to head downhill with the summer trip.[/QUOTE
My personal opinion but if you go back to the UAB game last year McKay seemed like he wanted to be "the man" and take the team on his shoulders and lead us. We all know how that turned out. At the beginning of the season, again, he tried to do too much and missed a lot of close to the basket shots. I think this all got in his head and then his knee started hurting. All in all, it is in his head, and his knee, now. It can't be easy either way. He seems like a very proud person and his inability to accomplish what he wants is weighing on him heavily. If Prohm can pull him back along with his teammates he can be a monster. If not we go small ball and hope one of the two freshman can stand a crash course in BXII basketball.
