Darn front runner ISU football fans, you increase your wins by 50% from the previous year and they all come out of the woodwork.

And then immediately turned around and nixed a male applicant just because he was a male so he could see what it was like to be sued by men and women for discrimination at the same time

You mean its frowned upon to tell a job applicant that he would be better off getting sex change if he wanted the job?

Just when you think the idiocy has reached rock bottom, someone says something more stupid. We should really have a thread for worst posts ever, this would be top 5 for sure. Made me laugh though.

It's an embarrassment as a Hawkeye fan? If a rivals fan base doesn't like your AD he must be doing a good job. I love Barta and think he's a terrific ambassador for the U of I.

Stick to the rivals section

I guarantee that JP checked this guys level of donating before he sent out that tweet. There is no way JP would have done the same thing to a high level donor.

This also might not be Jamie's first run in with this guy. If he has gotten a bunch of idiotic emails etc and then this tweet?

This is the world we live in. Rude, idiotic people attack someone and are shocked... shocked when the person doesn't just lie down and take it.

Again..sounds like Hawk fans.

Didn't he tweet (and then delete) something along the lines of "quit tracking my planes" last Friday? How do you think he knew that? JP has an ego, and I am confident he lurks around here to see what people are saying.
No that was a joke. The person who posted that on Cyclone Fanatic admitted he changed the tweet to say that.

Not JP's finest moment, IMHO. Don't know much about twitter, but in my corporate leadership experience, those type of responses to unrest/criticism were in private at an appropriate time, after some thought, not blasted to the universe with the CEO telling off some customer. not cool executive leadership, regardless of how much of a ******** the customer/stockholder etc. has acted.

Yeah, though if that had happened Barta would have then discriminated against her so he could add another discrimination lawsuit to the set

So basically JP's response to an over-emotional fan is to be over-emotional himself:no: These are the types of things that somebody in JP's position needs to leave alone.

Maybe he thinks if he discriminates against everyone he is discriminating against no one because he is treating them all the same?:pconfused:

I would honestly say the exact opposite. I'd be surprised if Pollard has ever opened a CF message board thread in his life.

He's on the site about 3-4 times a day, has been since it started almost 10 years ago.

Not surprised, I can't believe anyone would think he would never check out this site based on how he acts on twitter.

Let's be honest here - the guy was a **** and Jamie was a ****. Difference being is the guy isn't the AD of a University that should be focused on getting people talking about how great the new hire is. Instead, people are talking about how the AD likes to stick his foot in his mouth.

Jamie should want people to come around to liking the new coach, especially donors, not calling them bad fans after the program they paid money to support just got less wins in 3 years than our in-state rival had before November.
