Don't count Iowa out here. They lose MG after this season and too will be looking for a PG to take the reins in 2016. AND Fran now has a track record of putting guys in the league (or at least drafted), the last two years. By all accounts, Simpson (and his Dad) want to be the man and it sounds like he wants to start right away. If Prohm wants to bring in a JUCO PG as well, that could lower his interest in Iowa State.

Schools are backing off because they picked up commitments from other recruits and they no longer need his services. "Xavier and Purdue backed off, he must have issues!" What a joke.

Nice summary of the recent PG commitments and the impact on XS.

@BSnowScout: The point guard dominoes in the Midwest continue to fall, here is how things are shaking down http://t.co/GVMpZm9Ouq http://t.co/TcqVuG14fM

I'm trying to figure out how that scout article could've had more of a big 10 slant but I don't think its possible. X had a "good time" on his visit but apparently he's planning possibly 4 more? I wonder if that is news to him.

Yes, X has issues. Issues with playing for a mediocre team in a crappy conference where the coach looks like his head could explode at any second. Those kind of issues...

What a bunch of morons. They claim that Purdue and Xavier cancelled Simpsons visits Simpson is the one that cancelled the Purdue visit, not the other way around and he had already visited Xavier in June.

And Iowa is still recruiting him hard and have been recruiting him since 2013.

for your entertainment, mostly. I ran across this board some time ago and douglasbader is a moron since day 1. The path of logic is hysterical.

I feel bad for the 'normal' Iowa fans asking innocent things like "did he reschedule his visit here?" that they have to share the same space as some psychopath jealous rage monsters trying to make up nonsense about an 18 year old kid in order to hold their fragile minds together when he very possibly picks ISU.

Simpson will be looking a long time if he wants to be on a team as a Freshman where less than one other player on the roster qualified to play point. Every team is going to want to have at least 2 guys as potential backup point guards. We have NN but let's be honest that there are some ? marks about him, not slamming him, but there's a lot of talk. Beyond that who is our point guard if MM leaves? Cooke moving over from PG? We need to sign two PGs for next year regardless of what Morris does.

No kidding. Good luck to Simpson if he wants to be on a team where he's the only PG on the roster as a true freshman. Maybe Wartburg or somewhere like that?
