I just hope this ends soon. I'm getting married next weekend and going on my honeymoon two days later on the 15th, so I don't want to go to another country for a week not knowing who our next HC is going to be.

That's an easy fix, call off the wedding.

Just post your cell phone number and email. We'll be sure to keep you and your new wife updated with any new info and witty comments that we can come up with. #coachpocalypsehoneymoon2015

Also, I guess I should say congratulations!

Brad Underwood follows Austin Narber (WRNL) and Randy Peterson (DMR) on Twitter.

Somebody said Steve Prohm followed @cyclonefanatic but it appears he does not currently

Is there any way we can discuss why TJ would be a good hire or bad hire. Because i dont think we have gone over that enough in the last week.

Not sure if there's a tactful way to ask, but tomorrow you should get Fred's perspective on the Palo situation. If there is a tactful way, I'm sure you can do it Chris.

No way he answers that tomm. Nor should it be asked. Maybe in 25 years when he writes his auto-biography we will know. And likely not care.

Let me ask another question ... If TJ Otz does not get the job, I suspect the next coach may want to keep him and/or be encouraged to keep him but what if TJ Otz does not want to stay?

What if he were to follow FH to the Bulls?

I think a lot of people are assuming TJ remains as lead assistant if he isn't the head coach. What if that is not the case?

Underwood follows RPetey? Cross him off the list if he appreciates good journalism.

Prohm followed @cyclonefanatic? And dropped it? I'm not sure what to make of this development. #konfusedinkentucky

Jeremy answered this question a couple days ago, he thinks that TJ stays at least one year regardless of who is hired. But of course the likelihood of that decreases the lower profile the coach is.

Thanks! I suggested a Cyclone cake topper but she said "no". Does this mean I need to call it quits? I'm concerned here.

I was 100% certain of this from the start. Probably because I don't have an agenda and my head is clear.

Was it really overblown though or was just the CF reaction? Bosses and employees disagree all the time in a healthy workplace envirinment, nobody in the media I saw said it was vindictive or they were working against each other (on here yes and maybe I missed it).

The disagreement did result in a different direction and different kind if search than we are accustomed to. If the bubu situation is any indication Pollard is a company man and isn't going to work against the President. Disagreement is healthy and I hope they welcome a non-group think environment. I n think this is a good thing. Bad decisions are made when you trust old assumptions and have no dissent challenging them. It may be the right answer but it never is a bad idea to fully vett (well unless timing is so crucial that if not fast all options are bad).

CW, Jeremy has mentioned on a couple occasions that there could be a couple of "surprise" candidates per his sources that are being kept under wraps. Have your sources indicated anything similar or do you feel the list of candidates you mentioned for interviews pretty much covers it?

This is what I want to know as well. Jeremy keeps mentioning the possibility of 1-2 interviews outside of the four Andy Katz reported but he will not disclose the name. Was it Dixon and Altman and it leaked or are there still two candidates no one has even brought up?

Jeremy, you don't have to disclose the names but are the mystery guys P5 head coaches right now?

She would probably appreciate a Hoiberg cake topper but I think that is inappropriate at this time. The mourning period has not yet passed.

You don't need to call it quits. I'm sure she'll be fine with an understated Cyclone pin on the lapel of your tux. By the way, my wife loved when I made these kinds of suggestions.

She bought me ISU cuff links a year ago for my birthday so I'll be sporting those at the wedding.

Dude, you really shouldn't wear those in public - and if you do, make sure I'm not invited:wink:

My opinion. If the guidance of Iowa State's Men's Basketball program rests upon Brad Underwood, Bryce Drew, or Steve Prohm we are in trouble! So sign up T.J. and see how he does. Disappointed Hornacek didn't emerge as a serious candidate and there were no other "proven" big name coaches out there.
