Agreed. I don't think that will be a problem but Kentucky is still going to be really good next year. We aren't going to hang another 150-95 on them.
We won't be if your boy Selden is playing
Shut up about KU or get shown the door.
This thread (site) has just been de-jayhawked for the time being. Please proceed to talk about Hoiberg, NBA, Apocalypse, etc again.
So you think that someone who can coach at the highest level of basketball can't coach at lower level? That just doesn't make any sense.
You know why there isn't precedent? Because the NBA is the pinnacle of basketball and if you can coach in the NBA you don't usually take a step down.
I'm interested in what you've been hearing?
I honestly think it's best if the dust settles a bit. There is some movement and I think enough information will be solidified in the next 12 hours to make a lot of people comfortable one way or another. There are a lot of rumors at every level, but ultimately there is so much in motion that I don't feel comfortable posting most of it.

Hopefully the Jayhawk trolls get their pencil dicks caught in their zippers.
In other news, the CBS report about Otz being the replacement is underwhelming. I guess this is a good time for me to move out of state...
Yep, we're screwed. Failure to capitalize on success. That's the history of Iowa State and we're watching it happen again right before our eyes. Hopefully someone opens their eyes and goes after Hornacek.

This true?

Iowa State assistant coach T.J. Otzelberger has the "full support" of Cyclones' athletic director Jamie Pollard to succeed Fred Hoiberg as head coach, multiple sources told CBSSports.com on Friday.
Hoiberg is expected to accept the head coaching vacancy with the Chicago Bulls in the next few days, according to other sources.
The Bulls fired Tom Thibodeau on Thursday.
While Pollard fully supports Otzelberger in the event that there is an opening to fill, sources told CBSSports.com that there are other members of Iowa State's administration that need to sign off on the hire before things could become official.
Two other separate sources said that Otzelberger has already been reaching out to people about potentially joining his staff as an assistant.
I'm not against an Otz hire, but one drawback is that he'd probably have to hire a Sadler-type to help with the coaching part instead of a bomb recruiter.
What we need is talent, and I would expect Otz to have less time to spend on recruiting as the HC.
I'm ok with Otz getting the nod. Financially it probably makes a lot of sense.
