I always used to use the (alwayssssssssssssssssssss empty) reading/extra classroom on the sixth floor of Ross Hall (the Department of History). Big desk to keep you hidden behind, soft chairs, you can lean them over and use the back of it as a reverse pillow, cool in the summer, warm in the winter, and rather dark/dim.

Other than that, I would find an empty meeting room in the Memorial Union (the ones on the third floor, back towards the parking deck, are good, so is the one at the end of the NE hallway looking out towards the Campanile). The library is *okay,* but there was always just enough traffic to make it suboptimal, for me. The stacks are really uncomfortable with those hard, tiled floors, too, you need yourself some carpet and soft chairs to do this right.

I was going to say that the women's bathrooms in Ross Hall were pretty perfect. They have lounge areas outside of the actual bathroom with couches in them.

I once took at a nap at the MU (Howe Hall got rid of its couches in the basement) before I had a shift at Seasons. It was ~4am or so on the second floor by the TV. I woke up to the TV being on and what I presume was a homeless guy watching it. Pretty surreal.

He didn't murder you though, so that's cool.

Where do you think homeless people hang out at night?

Go up to the 3rd floor of the MU and walk like you are going back to the study abroad office. There's a little place in the one hallway with two old and kind of sketchy looking chairs, a table, and a lamp. There's a little bit of noise since people are walking past, but it would work if you can nap while sitting in a chair.

Otherwise just go into a random lecture hall.

Lush's seats weren't comfy enough for napping. If you want to sleep in a lecture hall, go to the one in the Pork building behind Kildee. Holy crap, even when I liked the class I could barely stay away. Seats that lean back, a warm temperature......

I don't know that I ever really napped on campus besides trying once or twice in the Reading Room. Works if no one's in there, but if it's a party, well you probably want in on the convo instead of napping.

I'd always just sneak down to the steam tunnels. Nice and warm in the winter time, plus there's access near just about wherever you're at on campus. It's a win-win.

I used to nap in the little enclaves in Gerdin. Only because the majority of my classes were in that building.

I second this. Used to be my prime spot. Not only do you get your own individual privacy with your nap at a place where you can fully lay out, but you've got some nice window views while you are at it.
