How is the schedule any more favorable than this year? Subtracting NDSU and adding UNI is the only difference.

Opposing teams have zero fear of playing in JTS so don't even try to claim that as a reason.

The way its set up. Our most favorable games are early in the season, which increases our chance of being less beat up going into those making it easier to pick those up.

That and we get Toledo away, gee, that should be fun - NOT! Oh, and we get Iowa at home, you know in the series where often the home team loses. Can hardly wait.

Shiny new endzone.

Announce that the only way to get tickets to the Iowa game is by purchasing season tickets.

After that, there's always "Well, last year is over now."

Serious question... If season tickets are the only way to get UI tickets wouldn't the entire stadium be a season ticket sell out? So technically we'd sell out every home game?

You know the best way to get butts in seats?

Win games.
Correct, which is why the OP was asking how to sell hope for next season, after we only won 2 games this season.
So, during this coming off-season, how does JP sell hope to get people to buy season tix?

Not sure, there are so many things that need fixing that you can't think a few returning players and a tweak here and there is going to do much.

Some of you younger folks might live long enough to see this turnaround but I am feeling like the old folks I saw at the 2000 bowl who probably thought they would never get another chance to go to a decent bowl after the the 1970's. I have given up.

Fortunately I like following our other sports including the non-revenues that we don't suck at like volleyball and cross-country.

Please. How many years in a row have we been told this?

The injuries this is the second year. Players returning on both sides of the ball like this it's the first year. And I'm not saying it's legitimate, but it is a way to sell hope.

QB is the least of our problems.

I challenge that. Sam runs good but his passing is still awkward and unpredictable. He does not throw to the sidelines well or has touch deep. So what if you have some receivers. If you do not get them the ball, you have gained nothing. This game they told him not to run out of the pocket. He looked lost back there throwing into the mobs of defenders. The oline was not that bad. But once Sam was flustered, he never regained it. Thew oline played good. The front seven on defense played perhaps their best game. Still lost because we have a Model T for an offense. Mangino obviously does not have an answer for our execution. After today, we are back to a 23 point a game team. The defense gives up 38 points a game. We played like a MAC team this year and I do not mean Dan.
