Iowa State has again sold over 40,000 season tickets.
Great work Cyclone Fans!!!

A total of 40,581 season tickets have been purchased so far for the seven games at Jack Trice Stadium, the second-best in school history. The school's record of 43,178 was set last year. Iowa State sold 40,547 season tickets for the 2011 season.

Season tickets have increased 82 percent since Jamie Pollard became the athletics director in 2005, jumping from 22,430 the year before he took the job to the current total.

Wow!

Slim pickins left for season tickets. I just can't justify buying season tickets without having a full-time job, even if it's in section 2.

Section E since the day I was born. Between my folks, my wife and I, and our farm we have 12 seats.

Awesome to see where sales have gone compared to the numbers I knew growing up in the 80s and 90s.

I think you have to be pleased with over 40k after a 3 win season but with that said it bums me out that almost 3k people decided to drop their season tickets because of a bad year. I mean, the amount of alums and new fans starting jobs with extra income should have covered the few band-wagoners that jumped ship right? I guess not...

I also almost wished they had not announced the first two games being 11:00 am kickoffs so early. I know for me it was a serious buzzkill learning that and frankly I have to miss both games because of work and coaching flag football. 11:00 kicks seriously suck.

2K less hillside seats was probably most of that. At the same time, with a bounceback year (and the extra capacity in the SEZ) , sales should bounce back next year as it is.

I know this is gonna sound bad but I like the 11 game for us. It allows me to watch the later good games during the day. I can get ISU's game out of the way in the morning because I feel obligated to watch it and then after our game, real football starts.

Your comment does sound really bad, but not for the reason you think.

I don't mind the 11 am games so much. What I don't like are the late November Night Games. IMO, prefer no November Night games, but especially not after the first or second week in November.
