With the losses on defense, but optimism for improvement in offense what are you realistic expectations from this upcoming season? The schedule is brutal, it is every year but the more I look at it the more worried I get. Anyways, regardless tailgating will always be fun!

honestly 4-5 wins. If our offense clicks, we might be able to outscore some folks.

If we can win the turnover battle on the season, get good field position, and score a lot, I see our ceiling around 7 wins.

I see somewhere in the 4-6 range. Probably closer to 4. I think we win against NDSU, Toledo, WVU, and @KU. Anything on top of that is gravy. Should we pull out out 6 wins and a bowl win to get to 7, it will be Rhoads' best coaching job since hes been at ISU.

Maybe 5 wins, but one of the more enjoyable 5 wins seasons in memory given being able to witness continued improvement with our offense.

I agree with these and we also beat TCU and Texas Tech.

Not a chance, boy wonder is killing it right now.

Killing what? Didnt they lose 5 in a row last season? They come to our place, in late November, good luck to them. When was the last time a Texas even played in Ames in late November? He hasnt really done anything to this point.

Excitement to start the season, shifting to disappointment and regret by late October. 4 wins means I didn't waste my money as long as the tailgating weather is good.

I put the over/under at five. I expect the offense to be significantly better. Defensive ends won't be great, but should be serviceable. I think if anything the run up the middle will be what kills our defense. If linebackers are improved and if the back up defensive tackles are serviceable the defense may be on par with what Rhoads has had in the past.

I agree that TTU will be beatable late in the season at home, they have been terrible the last few years finishing their seasons

I watched the win over UNI in Jantz's first year, that was a bad team - that somehow managed to get to six wins and the gigantic upset of OSU. I won't be surprised by six wins, but as long as we look decent getting four or five I'll be happy.

Nothing like judging a team based on one game. Maybe I'll judge this past years basketball team based on the game at West Virginia, or the near loss against UNI at Wells Fargo.

4-8. On the bright side I don't have to watch them lose to freaking UNI again. I might still be bitter...
