I take back everything I said about not wanting neg rep/thumbs down. Sorry mods, I know it will make life difficult, but you're just going to have to take one for the team.

Did I say anything like this? No. Your fan called UConn a trash program and that is simply not the case. In terms of basketball programs UConn and ISU are not even comparable and everyone on this board knows it. You can reference you 2012 opening round win all you want but fact of the matter is your program has accomplished nothing historically. Obviously past results have no impact on the game tonight but if you guys are expecting an easy ISU win you are in for a big surprise. You barely beat an unimpressive UNC team...congrats! We will see how tonight goes.

Says the guy that's a fan of a team that beat one of the most unimpressive 2 seeds on the history of the tournament.

At the beginning of the week, my goal for this team was to be competitive. They didn't have to win, but that would be a nice extra. This season has been an unexpected gift. Then as the weeks went on and more UCONN posters kept talking, I have gone from let's be competitive, to let's ******* crush them.

I would love it if we somehow win by 20 points. That type of win would just feel right.

Left work early just to make sure I change into my lucky gear. Someone needs to remind me to turn on my Iowa State light though, because I forgot until about 5 minutes left in the UNC game.

OK I can't take it any more. I'm heading home.

Only question is do I stop for a pregame beer on the way or just have one at home.

UCONN must be destroyed.

I don't know what's going to happen tonight. Team's had a week to prepare sans Niang, but UCONN's had a week to prepare for ISU sans Niang.

I know the team's going to come out and play their ***** off, and let the cards fall where they may, which is, as the cliche goes, all I can ask for, especially at this point in the season.

I'm not worried. The team UCONN will see tonight isn't the same team that UNC saw. Fred's had time to tailor make the game plan instead patching together a quick fix. Plus, with us going against a poor rebounding team, I wouldn't be shocked to see Naz start over Edozie.

Cyclone City
The Elders of Hilton Coliseum...The Keeper's of the Magic. The 7 men who have their jersey hanging on high. #14 Waldo Wegner and Jeff Hornacek. #20 Gary Thompson. #32 Fred Hoiberg. #35 Zaid Abdul-Aziz and Barry Stevens. #44 Jeff Grayer.

In the year 2014, the Cyclones started 14-0, and make their first appearance in the Sweet 16 in 14 years. Going into the NCAAs, the Cyclones defeated all 20 teams on their schedule. Monte Morris shares his hometown with Jeff Grayer and Barry Stevens. Zaid is from New York City...the site of Iowa State's Regional. Abdul-Aziz was born on April 7th...the day of the National Championship Game. Iowa State's last trip to the Final Four was in '44. A win on Championship Monday would be win #32 for the Fred Hoiberg led Cyclones.
