Sticking with my IState shorts and my mayor the magic back together again shirt. I will be listening to radio broadcast only. I hope Cowgirl has her bathroom already to go.

haven't needed it the last few games.......though I was sorely tempted at the end of the UNC game. But I said no, no, I am going to watch this one to the bitter end!

Just to amuse myself i decided to go to the UConn forums. They are trying to comfort themselves with smacktalk. Interesting thread about if we are or arent a dynasty

You all should stop being so mean to SN13. You know how sensitive the UConn fans are.

I apologize. I thought east coast folks were tough. Apparently you kick a little sand in their vag and here come the waterworks. UCONN tears are delicious.

The National Weather Service has issued a CYCLONE WARNING for the New York Metropolitan Area. Heavy rain, damaging wind, and large hail can be expected. Additionally, funnel clouds have been sighted in the vicinity of Madison Square Garden. Those wearing navy and red (and have peculiar smelling dog breath) should seek cover immediately.

GO IOWA STATE!!! CYCLONE POWER!!!

At the beginning of the week, my goal for this team was to be competitive. They didn't have to win, but that would be a nice extra. This season has been an unexpected gift. Then as the weeks went on and more UCONN posters kept talking, I have gone from let's be competitive, to let's ******* crush them.

I would love it if we somehow win by 20 points. That type of win would just feel right.

Just so you understand that if the need arises tonight and we collectively decide you need to spend the rest of the game in your bathroom, you will do it. No hesitation.

Interesting you found that interesting since some moron on our board decided to post something moronic from your board. Anyway, we universally agreed that while ISU is making progress, the answer is "no" to dynasty until you actually accomplish something, like a few FFs and an NC in a short period of time.

Hell, UConn was never a dynasty. Neither UNC nor Duke was a dynasty. Now Wooden's UCLA run, that was a dynasty.

I find it difficult to say anything intelligent about this game. I only want ISU to get to the final 8 really bad. It would be such a great moment to get there. Go ISU!

I love it when we're up by 3 or 4 possessions, and there's like :20sec left on the clock, the crowd starts rising to their feet, the cheering gets louder... players are already showing their sportsmanship shaking hands... ISU wins this game just like that. Go ISU!!!

I wonder if Fred Hoiberg gave Fran McCaffery a call this week asking for advice on what it's like to coach in Madison Square Garden. McCaffery has some experience after last year when Iowa lost to Baylor in the National (Invitation) Tournament Championship.

Fred Hoiberg doesn't take advice from play-in game runners-up.

Besides, he played there himself something like 20 times during his pro career. He himself knows what it's like to play there.

SN13 is right. I could see how the Cyclone players were too intimidated to even step on the floor against North Carolina. All of the tradition, the championships, the legendary players, etc... You could see the fear in the Cyclones player's eyes as they knocked down clutch shot after clutch shot. ISU will be totally star struck when they step on the floor tonight against UCONN... that much is obvious. :jimlad:

Did I say anything like this? No. Your fan called UConn a trash program and that is simply not the case. In terms of basketball programs UConn and ISU are not even comparable and everyone on this board knows it. You can reference you 2012 opening round win all you want but fact of the matter is your program has accomplished nothing historically. Obviously past results have no impact on the game tonight but if you guys are expecting an easy ISU win you are in for a big surprise. You barely beat an unimpressive UNC team...congrats! We will see how tonight goes.
