And with that, we don't have to hear any more empty hype. Until next year. When the Woody for Naismith campaign begins in EI.

hahahaha HawkeyeReport.com is ******* hilarious. Here's some gems:

these refs will get investigated for sure. there were few instances where tenn guys are in the lane for 3-4 full seconds and no call. iowa would be up by 15 if not for the refs.

I really think we should file a formal investigation with the NCAA because these refs are so bad. If that doesn't work, the FBI or CIA should definitely be involved. This is just horrible. How can a major college sporting event in 2014 be skewed so bad by refs who are most obviously on the take?

About the intentional foul:
You gotta be kidding me...foul on Gesell? He wasn't anywhere near that guy. These refs are blind!

Disgusting refs are fing pigs

agree with the formal investigation. fbi may not be bad idea seeing the amt of money put on this game. they obviously didnt use the best crew for the play in games...the previous refs were bad too.

I dont care what anyone says, fran needs to go off after this game on college officiating. Take the fine, and get the discussion going because this is absolutely awful. You can count on 1 hand the number of trips down the court where Tennessee did not shoot free throws in the last 6:00 minutes and overtime. We've been on the **** end a number of times this year and this was right up there among the worst.

Seriously! We're talking NSA levels of creepy stuff going on in this game. The NCAA CLEARLY didn't want the Hawks in Raleigh, and this game proves it. Kim Jong Un's elections have been less one sided than this game.

8 years and counting now that Iowa will be eliminated from contention before the first Round of 64 game tips.

13 years and counting now since Iowa's last March Madness win.

So i guess iowa fans can actually answer this now: would they rather be a play-in game loser or have a deep run in the NIT?
